You will love the quaint atmosphere of this lodge. Good location, very comfortable rooms, great food and wonderful hosts. Nice lounge for relaxing with a drink in the early evening and meeting other guests. The scenery was beautiful. Hope to stay again.

The best part about Old Pines is the view from the dining room, the food, and the staff. We throughly enjoyed our stay. We loved our evening walk to the "High Bridge". The rooms are very comfortable, but we could hear the tv in the next room playing.

A group of us stayed the night before competing in The Caledonian Challenge. We had a great welcome , the rooms are really nicely decorated and very comfortable. The best thing was the amazing food and friendly efficient staff, really nice service . We all wanted to stay longer

We stayed for one night in June with our dog. Views from the hotel are great and the rooms are nicely kept. We were welcomed in our room with tea and cake, and settled in nicely. The room was warm and comfortable, and we had a view looking out to the mountains. The staff on the whole were friendly, with... More

We stayed at the Old Pines during a self-guided hike of the Great Glen Way. It was an amazing stop over on our trip. The location is beautiful, peaceful and welcoming. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the lounge is cozy and the afternoon scones to die for. Our dinner was delicious - excellent wine choices. The attention to... More

As I start to write this review, recent ones written by "ashtonlynne" and others have popped up on TripAdvisor alongside it, so rather than be repetitive, I'm simply going to commend them (and no doubt many others in similar vein) to those who want an opinion about this lovely place. "Faultless" is not a word I would use lightly -... More

Where can I start? We were picked up on arrival at Spean Bridge station and driven to the hotel, shown to our room and invited to the lounge when we had settled in. The room was, clean comfortable and well furnished, with a fantastic view of Ben Nevis straight opposite our window. The bathroom was finished to a high standard with... More

Very boringly we can only reiterate the other reviews! It was absolutely the best you could hope for and the fact that we would make the long journey just to stay here again says it all. The views are just wonderful, looking towards the Ben Nevis range, and on our short stay were snow capped. the hosts and staff are... More

Cycling the Great Glen Way with my wife our first stop after Fort William was Spean Bridge. A short ride up a quiet country lane from Gairlochy is The Old Pines. It is located in the most spectacular setting we have ever stayed. Looking across the mountain range to Ben Nevis, which was covered in snow. And the sun was... More
