Beautiful setting,Great Welcome. Rooms are finished to a very high standard and exceptionally clean. Only had breakfast, which was fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff are very professional, without being over fussy.

Enjoyed a meal here last weekend. The good was good, and stuck to good quality ingredients and tasty flavours. The whole menu was appealing-it was tough to choose. The service was good, and the owner is a really friendly guy. The atmosphere is relaxed and there was a mix of diners-families and couples and the setting seemed good for both.... More

We could have stayed longer! Rooms were comfortable, we had adjoining rooms with our teenage kids. The location was amazing, view of the mountains, walking paths out front, and plenty of space to enjoy the outside. The kids loved the free range chickens and trampoline out back. Our welcome included tea and scones in a beautiful sitting room, where we... More

I found Old Pines on the internet and tried it just to see what it was like. That was 4 years ago and I've been back every year since. The welcome from Ken and Imogen is genuinely warm, they can advise on what to do and where to go, nothing is too much trouble, I always feel really looked after.... More

The Old Pines was an excellent base for the surrounding area. The hotel was nice and quiet away from the noise of towns and cities. The room was lovely and clean, the bathroom was spotless. The food was of an excellent standard. The views from our room was brilliant overlooking the Nevis Mountain Range. Would recommend this hotel to anybody... More

Used this hotel as one of the stop-overs whilst walking the Great Glen Way. Although it is two miles off the route, it is well worth the effort for the food and comfort it provides. Our experience was one of a warm and welcoming place serving excellent food. The breakfast and packed lunches were superb. Would definitely recommend and hopefully... More

We stayed at the old pines in June of this year , it is like a home away from home , the bedrooms are immaculately clean with a good quality finish and some nice touches with home made biscuits in your room , and fresh tea or coffee when you arrive back after a days sightseeing , service is great... We have stayed at this small but beautiful hotel on three occasions when making the long journey from Wales to the outer hebrides and I promise you it is well worth a visit. Although it is small it offers plenty of privacy for guests when enjoying pre or post meal drinks. The food is excellent and the owners are friendly.... More

Lots of nice touches like tea and cake on arrival and each afternoon after coming in from long walks and wonderful breakfasts. Evening meals were variable - starters and puddings excellent but mains not so much. Strange thing after first night - bed didn't look properly made, almost as if someone had been disturbed midway through making it up. This... More
