We stayed here for two nights and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel is lovely and very cozy. The location is great and the service is really outstanding, We were welcomed by the owner with a complimentary tea and coffee. Our room was okay but small and I did not like the bed very much - too small -... more

Once we eventually found it, it is outside Spean Bridge and our satnav had trouble finding the postcode, we were met with a nice little hotel in amongst some trees but with a fantastic view down the glen. The hotel takes the form of a log cabin and looks new, but we were told it is more than 16 years... more

I stayed here with my husband for three nights in mid-August. I'd actually give this place 3.5 stars if there were a 1/2 star category. In the US, this would be considered something of a "motel" -- it's all one-story, with the rooms on one end and a restaurant on the other. The place has a lived-in, somewhat "cabin-like" feel.... more

This hotel is a restaurant first and foremost, with only seven rooms. The lovely gentleman in charge, who seems to wear any number of hats, takes customer service to a new level - from a complimentary afternoon tea upon arrival through dinner and breakfast, he couldn't do enough for us. The food is truly outstanding, and what a treat to... more

Small hotel located one mile for main town. Didn't seem to offer any personal touches. Rooms clean, but small and walls very thin!. overall not great value for money and restaurant very expensive. Nice surroundings.Good views of Ben Nevis when sun is shining! more

Stunning location. Staff very friendly & helpful though with that professional edge that reflected the high standard of this hotel in every respect. Excellent food, great ethos - loved the breakfast menu especially the smoked salmon & scrambled egg. We would go out of our way to stay here & will be booked in again before too long. more

Enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Old pines, the atmosphere was relaxing and the people very friendly. The location was superb, remote but close enough to Spean Bridge and lots of other places of interest. The food was delicious, very tasty and good quality but the menu selection could have been bigger. The only fault for us was the size... more

The immediate reaction to its location was.. Wow!! Its right next to the commando memorial at Spean Bridge with the most beautiful view of Ben Nevis and the surrounding Nevis range. My husband being a former bootneck, though this was ammazing. We arrived at about 3pm to be greated by the owners and were immediatly fueled with tea and freshly... more

The Old Pines is just outside the village of Splean Bridge, near the Commando memorial. It is a superb location, close to Fort William and near some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. The hotel is small, quiet and friendly. We were welcomed by the owner with a complimentary tea and coffee. Our room was spacious and very clean... more

Old Pines is a gorgeous log cabbin style hotel nestled away in the Western Scottish Highlands. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time staying here, being close enough to the local town for amenities and far enough away to take in the outstanding scenery and peaceful surroundings. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the owners and presented with... more
