I stayed here while walking the Great Glen Way solo in February. Not really suitable for walkers, as the hotel is a 6km walk uphill on the tar seal from the walk itself. My room was freezing, when I asked about the heating the lady at reception just grumbled at me and couldn't believe I was complaining.... They also advertise... More

We stayed here after our 4th day of a 330 mile cycle. We were really excited to get a hotel after spending 3 nights rough camping but boy were we disappointed! There were stains on the beds and chairs and the bathroom was rank. Breakfast was good but expensive for what we got. I wouldn't recommend staying in Spean Bridge... More

My husband and two adult children stayed one night here on our way to Inverness. It was cold and wet outside so the warmth and comfort of the room was great. All of the beds were comfortable and warm and the chalet had everything we required for the night. It is just a basic one room chalet, with bathroom and... More

We stayed here overnight when out for a hill walking weekend. Being a couple with a dog, we prefer not to stay in hostels due to privacy but also because most hostels won't allow dogs. This is great value for money! We paid £38 for the room which was very spacious, clean, beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, warm... More

Booked this hotel after a last minute roadtrip with friends. On arrival the staff were very friendly. We found the room to be clean and cosy with everything we needed for a night. The beds were so comfy, slept like a baby. Had dinner and breakfast at hotel both were at a high standard and big portions too. Would definitely... More

En route to Inverness we decided to stop for lunch in the Spean Bridge Hotel. In order to get to the bar a warren of back rooms and empty restaurants had to be navigated. While the staff seemed friendly enough, the menu was very limited and when a turkey sandwich was ordered (it had been previously intimated it was available)... More

We wanted to stay in the Fort William area but as we were booking last minute, our choice was pretty limited. We had a family room for 3 nights which was at the fron tof the hotel and pretty noisy (the hotel is on the main A82 West Coast route). As it was pretty hot during our stay, it was... More

Hoping for a decent pub meal and good local atmosphere, we chose this hotel while staying in the area. We dropped in for a drink and bite to eat on a Saturday night and were surprised at how quiet it was. Staff were friendly enough but the décor was a bit depressing and drab - old tables and chairs and... More

The Spean Bridge Hotel is the best in 1970s chic gone to seed. From the green floral print carpet, to the interior faux-stone accent walls, this place was perhaps, once, a destination. Now it is the hotel you settle for if everything in the vicinity has already been booked. And I mean everything. Together with the sludgy floral print curtains... More
