Just read your reply to my review. There were most definitely people drinking in the office behind the glass at reception. Whether it was staff or guests is irrelevant it is a most awful first impression and the hotel delivers very little after this. Perhaps a more hands on approach is needed I rum my own business and always know... More

Rented 2 chalets with my family, beds were nice, though bathroom were not very modern they were just right for use. The reception doesn't seem to be always open for questions but I only had 1 small question and was staying for just one night so there was no problem. All in all a nice place! 4 people chalets are... Hotel is much in need of upgrading. Surprised it got 2 stars. There were tiles hanging off the bath panel. The bathroom had a carpet which was disgusting not to be walked on in bare feet. Breakfast was extra and very poor with a 60p charge for additional items. Not a cheap hotel so would expect a bit more. We... More

Spent just one evening here on saturday 14th June. We sayer in the chalets (number 4 and 5). Each chalet sleeps up to 6 people. They are very clean and tidy and well looked after. Very comfortable double bed and the bunk beds were also comfy. Had a lovely evening stay there. Paid for the optional breakfast in the morning... More

In lovely surroundings you would expect a nice hotel. My colleague and I stayed one night after being on business. The rooms were dirty. Stained carpets which I kept my socks on to walk on. The food was disgusting in an area with quality produce, to get a pie that was so glutinous I could of covered some of the... More

Stayed in the chalet behind the hotel. The good thing is parking, the rest.. How to say.. It could be average only if the price includes breakfast and WI-FI. I do not understand why this hotel states (in booking.com for example) having WI-FI in all areas if it is not the case. The room is normal, but needs some up-date.... More

Imagine staying in a scruffy b&b but paying a 3 star hotel price thats what will happen if you stay here. £71 for a nasty box room that looked like a sauna all wood panelling and not really fir fot 2 people. If you stupidly decide to go into bar which we did you'll find youself in a grotty room... More

We stayed with our baby and dog in one of the chalets behind the hotel, the development of which has been quite tastefully done in that you don't feel as though you are in the back of a hotel. The chalets are modern and nicely fitted with a little kitchenette and plenty space (TV is very small, not that we... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

We stayed here on 19th April and our double room was £52.50 - half the price of the 'budget' brands locally (we checked) Although the decor could do with a freshen up the room was clean and tidy, the bed was big and comfy and the shower was hot. The restaurant was very reasonably priced, the food plentiful and well... More

The first impression of this hotel was good, very friendly staff and hotel looked nice. We lived in a lodge, which was cold, especially bathroom floors! However, they had heaters which helped quite a lot. The most disappointing thing was the power cut. We spend more than 1hour in the dark and the staff didn't say anything! Not even the... More
