My wife and I stayed at Burnbank Lodges for a week in Sept/Oct. We wanted a peaceful and picturesque location and a nice, cosy lodge. Burnbank Lodges provide all of this. Spean Bridge is a great location if you want a base for exploring the highlands (Fort William and Nevis Range are approx. 9 and 6 miles away respectively). The... More

My now Fiance (we got engaged at Steall falls - Beautiful site) and I loved Burnbank Lodges. The lodges are cosy with decent insulation against the cold. The facilities are good and the cooking equipment is more than you'd expect. I had everything needed to cook a couple of roasts! The site is easily accessed from the village/main-road but still... We stayed in one of the lodges for a week in August for our honeymoon and for us it was the perfect location. Not too far from Fort William and Ben Nevis. Our lodge was overlooking the river and we loved to sit on the balcony and watch it go by. It was perfect size for 2 and had everything... More

It's so peaceful, the owners are so friendly, gorgeous scenery, only a stones throw from Fort William aswell. I highly recommend these adorable lodges, and cannot wait to go back! Just got back from a weeks holiday here, enjoyed it very much. The lodges are smaller than expected but have everything that you need and are clean and well maintained. The view was amazing and we had a couple of ducks visited every morning for their breakfast. We were amazed how high the river rose after some rain, which we... More

Hello Steven. Thanks for taking the time to write a review – we’re delighted you and Melanie enjoyed your stay here. When you describe the owners as “cool”, we take it you mean it in the sense that we were welcoming and helpful, as opposed to cold and unfriendly, which is something we’ve never been accused of before. The alternative... More

The lodges were very nice, clean and peaceful. Beautiful view from the lodge. Kind and helpfull staff. There are many things to see and do (like Loch Ness, Inverness, Road to the Isles, Glencoe, Rothiemurchus walks) in the surroundings of Spean Bridge, but a car is very handy. Everything was very good, just hope for a litlle bit of good... More

Spean Bridge is located just 6 miles from the Nevis Range Mountain Resort and 10 miles from Fort William. It's great for travelling north to Loch Ness, east to the Cairngorms and west to Fort Wiliam, Skye, Glencoe, Oban, etc. The lodges are cosy and clean and even offer wifi which is an added plus. For 2 people and a... More

We had a great week's stay at Burnbank Lodges. The lodge was very clean, well-equipped and had a lovely river view. The owners were welcoming, happy to chat and offer advice. The location is ideal - peaceful and private whilst still walking distance from Spean Bridge. We left feeling relaxed and would love to return in the future.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Burnbank Lodges. Location was perfect for getting out and about exploring, setting secluded and peaceful and the accommodation had all you needed. We also took our dog who was more than welcome. Owners Ria and Phil who live on site are friendly and informative....so a great trip all round!
