My husband and I stayed here for one night and were really disappointed with the hotel - the staff were cheerless and not welcoming so we felt let down as we have many weekends away and usually the staff are very friendly whether it be a travelodge or a 5 star hotel! There is only one bar in the whole... More

I stayed a few nights here a while back while I was bagging a few Munros. The owners and staff were brilliant. Very friendly Nd excellent with catering for my dog too. The food was good catering okay for the non fussy vegetarian that i am. If there are more hills that I choose to climb in that area I... More

Having read a review of this hotel, felt I had to say we ate there several times earlier in the year, and found all the facilities to be spotlessly clean and the food although not gourmet was excellent, I have an extremely sensitive constitution, so am very wary about eating out. However I was fine and we are in Lairg... More

Hi , i stayed at this lovely little hotel for two nights and found it to be smashing little hotel, my bedroom was a single and as such it was small , however the decor was fresh and modern toilet and shower nicely finished , the hotel has a small bar attached to it along with a restraunt and cafe... Lairg is a funny old place. There’s not much there but it is the gateway to some astonishing scenery. In the midst of this paucity of choice, there’s the Lairg Highland Hotel. Now let’s get this clear from the start, the LHH is not exactly decorated in the style that I would choose. It’s rather, errrr, traditional. Once you have... More

I live in the quiet village of Lairg and my husband and I eat in this restaurant or we order a takeaway fairly regulary, I have never thought of leaving a review but after our latest sit in meal I feel I need to. We were welcomed very quickly by the waitresses and shown to our seats, our order was... More

Our purpose was to cheer on our son-in-law on the last leg of his charity bike ride from Land's End to John O'Groats. The weather was perfect and we arrived in Lairg early evening at the same time as Mark. The hotel is charmingly old fashioned, we'll maintained and comfortable. The staff, friendly, willing and cheerful and the music blissfully... More

Friendly staff, good restaurant, very good breakfast, comfortable room and location convenient to my requirements as stop-over for End to End cycle ride. Also had somewhere under cover to keep my bicycle.

Basic hotel in the Lairg town center. Rooms are clean and look pretty, but are quite outdated. The door knob of our room fell off. Nobody was around to fix it, so we were moved to another room. The new room also looked very pretty, but when you went to the shower, the sewage did not work properly, so you... More

A recent visit to the hotel restaurant was very disappointing. Had taken visitors for a run up north and decided to use this place on the way home. A rather dour welcome but we were seated quickly with a wave of our waitresses hand, the place was not busy. Our friends are vegetarian and they were most disappointed with their... More

Having read all your other reviews you state your wife is vegetarian so I wonder why she ordered a non vegetarian pasta dish here? At no time during this month, to date, has an order for 2 vegetarian meals and a seafood pasta and fish and chips been placed?? At least 2 opportunities would have been presented to you to... More
