I stayed at Lairg Highland Hotel after visiting the north coast. The drive to the hotel led me through the most beautiful countryside. The room I stayed in was recently decorated and was clean. The size was correct for a single room. The on-site restaurant is very convenient and serves good food. Unfortunately the Wifi didn't work very well. The... More

Beautiful little room which seems to be recently refreshed, warm hospitality. Our room was above the kitchen but the noise was not really a problem for us and stopped from 9.30 pm to 8.00 am. The lady honnestly warned us when we arrived. A little bit expensive (149£ a night for 2 persons in July) for the place but everything... More

Pleasant stay at this small hotel. Lairg is the crossroads to the Northern Highlands so it was a great base to tour in the area. Bedroom was pleasant - each has a different décor- with small shower room attached. Comfortable sofa and good view across the main street to the Post office opposite. Downstairs was a comfortable lounge bar cum... More

Had a 'true' single room here- that is, single bed and not a lot of room to move around it. Clean and warm though. Shower didn't work, so I used the one in my companions room. No residents' lounge, so it was either the room or the bar as far as passing the time went. This may be temporary, as... More

We came into Lairg on our journey from the North coast and were attracted to the tea and sandwiches invitation posted outside the hotel. Evidence of very recent and effective redecoration and the whole was presented tastefully and well. Our orders for tea and sandwiches were taken swiftly and arrived in good time. Very fair price for a lunchtime snack.

What a nice clean redecorated hotel and my wife Di and I were welcomed at the door by Catherine and shown to a seat for our lunch. We had soft drinks and then breaded Fresh Haddock etc and the desserts for us both . .. I had a wonderful sticky toffee pudding . The helpful and friendly staff were very... More

We had 2 twin rooms for 1 night. Stayed in the smaller of the two rooms but which was still perfectably adequate space for the two of us. Check in and service was very friendly. Ate a meal that night and breakfast the next morning - both were very tasty, breakfast - scrambled eggs portion was particularly sizeable and delicious.... More

We had dinner here on a quiet Sunday night. The restaurant is bright and fresh and we were served by a lovely, friendly lady. The food was great, roast beef which was so tender. Lasagne was very good too (really tasty). Would recommend a meal here

Stayed here a few nights on a work trip. The place is spotless and the rooms are the same. Small but had everything you'll need. The food was decent as was the breakfast. The staff who we had dealings with were very pleasant. The pub part was dead, no character in the place at all for being a village pub.... More

We booked into this hotel since we were shopping for tweeds next door. Staff was very friendly, the room was a bit small. The shower (electric shower) was very small, to make up for that towels were huge, and warmed up via in shower heating. There was wifi in the room with no time limits. Food reminded us of the...
