Friendly staff, good restaurant, very good breakfast, comfortable room and location convenient to my requirements as stop-over for End to End cycle ride. Also had somewhere under cover to keep my bicycle.

Basic hotel in the Lairg town center. Rooms are clean and look pretty, but are quite outdated. The door knob of our room fell off. Nobody was around to fix it, so we were moved to another room. The new room also looked very pretty, but when you went to the shower, the sewage did not work properly, so you... More

A recent visit to the hotel restaurant was very disappointing. Had taken visitors for a run up north and decided to use this place on the way home. A rather dour welcome but we were seated quickly with a wave of our waitresses hand, the place was not busy. Our friends are vegetarian and they were most disappointed with their... More

Having read all your other reviews you state your wife is vegetarian so I wonder why she ordered a non vegetarian pasta dish here? At no time during this month, to date, has an order for 2 vegetarian meals and a seafood pasta and fish and chips been placed?? At least 2 opportunities would have been presented to you to... More

I spent a lot of nights here. Lairg isn't busy and has poor choices for things to do but, I love the Lairg Highland. All the rooms are nice and clean and I think are very regularly redecorated. Housekeeping is brilliant, rooms are always spotless.I think the owner is called Annette, she is lovely and looks after people, Anyway Fact. I... More

Thank you so much for your review. It is comforting to know we are appreciated as all too often nowadays people are quick to criticise rather than say positive things. All the staff work very hard and I will pass your comments on to them. Thanks again. More

Have used this place several times and the menu has never changed. Having said that, the food is good honest bar food, though there are specials which are generally pretty good. Staff always seems to be different, but service is usually good.
