We were treated so graciously and made to feel so welcome by the owners that it seemed as if we were staying with family. Everything is decorated so tastefully and the rooms we had seemed more like suites with chandeliers, sofas, and fireplaces. The whole place sparkled it was so clean. The bathrooms were beautiful. The meals were made to... More

My wife and I had two nights at this B&B. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we made the booking. The room was superb and very comfortable. The room was not dominated by the bed as it occupied only about a quarter of the space. The rest of... More

I stayed here for a short break a while ago - the place is fantastic! Great, friendly hosts and a convenient location. I took the Garden Suite, which was brilliant! Huge bathroom, comfy lounge, useful kitchen and lovely bedroom. The bed was super luxurious and comfy. I stayed a couple of nights and felt very at home. Breakfast was very... More

I booked this hotel for two separte nights. The first was when I was catching an early morning ferry, the second was when I returned from Ireland on a late evening ferry. The welcome on each of the two occasions was unbelievable friendly and efficient. We were given clear directions to a local pub where we wished to eat before... More

A very friendly and efficiently run bed and breakfast. My room was warm and well equipped. Wifi worked very well. The owners go out of their way to help and are genuinely friendly. Standard of decor is good and it is in a very good location for ferries to Ireland or exploring the Galloway delights. Would highly recommend, do not... More

The hardest thing about writing this review was thinking of a title as all the words have already been used. There are only so many ways you can say, excellent, fantastic, wonderful etc. It is also a challenge to add anything that hasn’t already been said. As a TA Top Contributor I can confidently say the reviews are right, except... More

I was given such a chilly welcome that I preferred not to stay at all. The cost for the room was high considering I was catching an early ferry the next day and there was no flexibility shown at all. And being treated with hostility did not encourage me to spend the money. 'Hospitality' is not what I encountered here.

This solo traveller seems a bit confused, having been very willing to stay (inside or outside) as long as she did not have to pay the going rate. Weeks before, a couple had booked our Churchill Suite for 1 night. The booking was for 2 persons. They had requested 2 'breakfast to go' bags since they were leaving early for... More

I travel to Stranraer on business fairly regularly and discovered the Rhins of Galloway about 4 months ago. I've since stayed here on 5 or 6 occasions, and as the title states, I wouldn't choose to stay elsewhere. A lovely, welcoming stay with spotlessly clean rooms and little touches that make a difference. I have to agree with previous reviews too... More

What a wonderful place on the way to the ferry but that not why we were there just chose it off the net, the rooms are exceptional and the toasts just as exceptional, all the small details are there and done to perfection, it's a 6 star premises and 6 star service without the costs. Directions to go find a... More
