Cathy and nick made us very welcome in their 17th century farm house On arrival we watched people fishing around the lake then went in through the well kept gardens where Cathy was waiting with tea and biscuits. Very comfortable and clean rooms with a lot of character !!! Make sure your hungry before you have breakfast ( the bacon,... More

A lovely, and surprisingly large, comfortable cottage. We recently stayed 2 nights and were welcomed with a much needed cuppa and some countryside tranquillity after a busy few days glamping and sight seeing at Warwick Castle. The children enjoyed the pigs, chickens, cat, very playful and friendly dog and bottle feeding the lambs. A terrific experience in itself. Breakfast was... More

A characterful 17th century cottage, set amidst a small farm in very peaceful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as a family of five (three children aged 13, 10 and 7). A lovely cup of tea on arrival, after a tiring day at Warwick Castle. Clean and comfortable rooms, super breakfast including locally sourced bacon, sausages and eggs. We... More

If you like a property with character rather then a modern lifeless hotel then Shrewsley pools farm is for you. The working farm is 400 years old and we were lucky enough to stay a week after two litters of pigletts had been born. We stayed in the king size room which was huge, clean and had a comfy bed.... Hi there ! Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us . I am appalled at the cost of a taxi - thank you for pointing this out and flagging up this issue . Would it be possible to tell me which company that you did use so that I may recommend them... More

A delightful old farmhouse on a working farm (great for the children to get close to the animals). It was a lovely afternoon so we were offered tea out on the lawn, where the resident cat & dog came to join us. The children loved wandering round the farm yard and there is a delightful garden to enjoy. Rooms were... More

I've stayed here another three times since my last review. It's been reurbished and is now better than ever. Attention to detaol glows from every part. Gorgeous tolietries in the bathrooom, quality herbal teas as well as tea and coffee in the rooms, there's even hot chocolate! The beds are so comfy, the rustic farmhouse just charming, a great place... More

I've stayed here a few times over the recent years for trade shows at the NEC. It's a working farm, so don't book if you can't cope with farm animals, cockerels and a little early morning activity. This is the perfect contrast to boring, stuffy, corporate hotels. A real home shared with visitors for the duration of their stay. Cathy... More
