Owner was extremely professional, guest house is perfectly located for NEC and airport, harvester is five mins walk away, room was clean and modern, bathroom was clean and spacious, kitchen was clean and there was food in the fridge and cupboards so you could just help yourself to food when ever. All in all excellent value for money. 100% recommend... More

Stopped for a night heading for the NEC (just a very short drive away). Very clean and glad we booked the room with ensuite. Good Harvester pub 5 minutes walk away for dinner. Breakfast was a bit unusual as do it yourself, but plenty of choice. The only thing that spoilt it was a guest parked over the drive and... More

This really is a wonderful little place to stay. Everything is immaculate and beautifully clean and it feels like a real home away from home. At breakfast I was expecting a loaf or cereal but there was absolutely everything you could possibly wish for! I hope to have the excuse to stay again and will encourage others to do the... More

I've stayed at James Guest House for quite a few years now when going to an annual exhibition at the NEC, and in recent years I have travelled up from London on the train and bus rather than driving. I have slept mostly in the en suite triple room called Janice upstairs at the front, but last year I was... More

We stopped here as we were visiting an event at the NEC. It's immaculately clean throughout and rooms were well proportioned for a B&B. It was full of lovely touches like guest lounge, well stocked tea trays and a pretty garden. Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed in the James suite. It has a lounge and an ensuite, and has a door overlooking the lovely garden, with a door leading into the kitchen. The rooms were clean and light, and the wifi was working perfectly - something that has been a problem in some other places we have stayed in. The kitchen is self service,... More

Me and my husband stayed at the guest house while in the area as we were going to see a show at the LG arena. (NIA). we had been given a free upgrade to the suite (which was lovely of the owner!) which consisted of a private lounge, bedroom and bathroom which had a powerful shower and jacuzzi bath. The... I stayed here whilst working around the Birmingham area. The house is split into a downstairs flat consisting of two rooms and bathroom which is very nice. There is a shared kitchen and living room with television. Upstairs there are four individual bedrooms (some ensuite) and a shared bathroom. Breakfast is self service with a good range of food, cooker,microwave... More
