Stayed here to attend an event at the NEC, arrived in the car park at the rear of the building to find no signs of a check in desk, eventually found it in the main bar area, checked in, given directions to our room which was up 2 flights of creaky old stairs, along a corridor that smelt like a... we had a room booked for 1 night on 3rd Jan. upon arrival we found the 'reception' in the bar surrounded by unsavoury looking customers eating and drinking. Prior to payment we asked to see our room, the request seeming to be a great inconvenience. the walk to the room was along dank and smelly corridors and the room itself... More

Booked the Swan Inn for four of us because we were visiting the NEC. Very cheap when I booked it so didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised. OK, it's not the Ritz, but the twin room we had was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable, The bathroom was ok but the shower isn't really big enough for... More

After reading some very negative reviews we were a bit concerned with what to expect having booked and payed for a one night stopover on our way up north. I needn't have worried has our room, although a bit small, was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. When I booked over the phone I was given... More

My partner and I were visiting Coleshill for a friend's wedding nearby and had originally intended to drive over, not drink, and then drive back later that evening as it was too expensive to use public transport. We didn't even think about staying overnight as had assumed it would be too expensive. Anyways, the party was in full swing and... More

Booked this hotel for 26th September as we had a wedding local to the hotel. Walked in after our night out and could not believe the state of the room, especially for the £85.00 per night price!!!!!! Luckily we hadn't drank and we drove home at 1am because we just did not want to stay there. All the fixtures and... More

We stayed here for one night during a visit to the N.E.C. this review is for the hotel not the restaurant. We had a clean comfortable room that had everything we needed. In the morning we had the included continental breakfast and that was very good as was the service by the nice lady who looked after everyone at the... More

Arrived on sunday. Obviously was slightly busy but the service was awful. Front of house did not care all busy chatting. The food was vile. We only ate it due to travelling and being rather hungry. Scrag ends for meat given to us and several other customers. I hoped they would change the meats but no they brought more chips... More

This evening my sister and I wanted to go out for a nice meal together. We decided on The Swan as we had previously been there a number of times and enjoyed it. We arrived and the car park was full of vans parked so awkwardly it made it very difficult to park. We went inside and I asked to... More
