We read the reviews before we went and we were not disappointed. We had the room Temeraire, which is a lovely large room at the front. Very comfortable with good bathroom. Breakfast was enjoyable, with some interesting choices,eg Eggs Benedict, Kedgeree. Hosts very helpful and hospitable. Would recommend this B and B.

A wonderful and friendly B&B, lovely and clean room with Egyptian cotton bedding. Fantastic homemade biscuits in the room and a really good and varied choice of breakfast menu. The hosts were extremely helpful. Will definitely be back if and when I have to return for work, or possibly leisure with my wife. Have no hesitation in recommending this B&B.

I booked this B&B for my mum who was visiting Rochester/me for the 1st time since I moved here few months ago. As she doesn't speak English, one of my first question to Alison (the owner) when I called to ask for availabilities/prices was if she spoke French, and her answer was "mais bien sûr! je parle français et mon... We have just returned from Rochester after a two night stay with two other couples (one of them jackiekc8). Alison and joe were superb hosts. Our room the Temaraire was superb, tastefully decorated, huge and comfortable bed, beautiful and spacious bathroom with excellent shower. The hospitality tray also had lots of home made goodies. Breakfast was just to die for... More

We stayed at Cedar House with 2 other couples for a short break before Christmas. Cedar House has 3 tastefully furnished bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and the cleanliness was outstanding. I cannot fault our stay there with Alison and Joe being the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and the coffee and ecclefechan tarts on arrival were just... More

We stayed here recently for one night while shopping in the nearby area. We'd booked the stay on the strength of the reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. It's a lovely little B&B and Joe and Alison are very welcoming and made us feel at home. We stayed in the largest of their rooms and has the ensuite;... More

Everything about Joe & Alison's B&B is just as you'd want it. I'm not one for leaving reviews, but feel when someone has made such an effort to make sure your stay was as good as they could make it, they deserve the world to know about it!! In a world of slapdash & shoddy...Cedar House is a glowing beacon... More

I have not stayed in bed and breakfast for many years as I usually stay in a Premier Inn. We are glad that we chose Cedar House for a couple of nights away. The room was tastefully decorated and furnished with excellent tea and coffee facilities including treats of home made fudge and biscuits. We were made to feel very... More
