This was a fairly last minute decision as I wanted to book a luxurious one night stay for my partner's birthday. We had been to Broadstairs for the day last year and loved it. Bleak House is fab! The staff are extremely welcoming and our room (Fagins Suite) was fab. Free slippers, fluffy towels, complimentary sherry, water, fresh milk and... More

We have stayed in Bleak House before and as usual the service and staff were excellent, friendly and helpful as ever. This time we stayed in the apartment suite. Two of our children and my Nan stayed as well. Everyone thought the apartment bedrooms were fantastic and the views excellent. My Nan had a fantastic stay and loved every minute... More

We were greeted by a staff member on his way to lunch who then stayed to help us park and from then on gave a first class service. He went over and above what we normally get from hotels. The breakfast was delicious and the room. Wry comfortable.

We have dined at Bleak House on many occasions and have only high praise for the quality of our meals. Having visited top class restaurants all over the world, we would rate Bleak House as one of the best. With a fabulous choice of menu, waiting staff full of personality and the desire to attend to our every need, we... More

Bleak House in Broadstairs was one of Charles Dickens' homes and sits overlooking the beautiful sweeping Broadstairs bay. It's privately owned and quirky but absolutely charming, with a grand sweeping staircase, chandeliers, and rooms ranging from the huge Copperfield Suite with sunken bath and dressing room overlooking the whole bay, to Little Dorrit which also has a sea view. Each... More

We have stayed in many hotels and guest houses and let me tell you without any hesitation that the bedroom and bathroom of the Copperfield Suite at Bleak House are the best I have every stayed in. The size, decorations, features, benefits (including a decanter of sherry) were wonderful. The view from this suite is amazing and you can easily... More

Forget miserable and professional moaners, with no sentiment or feeling of history. WHAT A LOVELY HOTEL. We stayed here 17th june for one night. Great, energetic family and staff. (hello Jake) Very friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in the Fagin Suite, which,of course, has sea view.Great shower. For someone who probably wasn't born before the... More

This was an interesting stay - I am surprised to see so many hugely positive 5-star reviews; our average rating is perhaps a reflection on us being fussy rather than the establishment itself. However, our thoughts were that this is a hotel in dire need of refurbishment - the fact it's Dickensian really isn't an excuse for mismatched clutter and,... More

I have just returned from a short break in Broadstairs staying at Bleak House, and I have to say, what a wonderful hotel! Fantastic customer service, luxurious rooms, great cuisine, amazing location and a rich & authentic historical past. From the moment we walked through the door, Nicola and the entire team made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too... More
