This is exactly the type of establishment that puts larger 'chain hotels' to shame. We recently visited Broadstairs to revisit some of the old haunts that my wife new from family holidays as a young girl and the Cloonlara added to what was a really nice night away which we decided to take at the last moment. The room was... More

If you are looking for accommodation in Broadstairs, I quote another reviewer `stop looking and just book Cloonlara, you won't regret it', and you certainly won't. As soon as we walked in the door it felt like home with such a warm welcome from Bernadette and Brian. We spent 6 nights at Cloonlara and it is a brilliant place to... More

We stayed at the Cloonlara B&B for 2 nights while the Broadstairs Folk festival was on. Having booked the stay some months back we paid out deposit and looked forward to a great weekend. On arrival we had a parking space at the front of the building so no issues there. We were greeted with a big smile by our... More

We only spent the one night at the Cloonlara but really couldn't fault this lovely B&B. We arrived in Broadstairs with no accommodation booked so Bernadette got a call out of the blue from us, We were knocking on her door 5 mins later but even with no notice she was very organised and everything was in place ready for... For us, CloonLara is brilliant - it is exactly what we want from a B&B. Unlike large hotels, we choose B&B's in the hope that we receive a more personable service and that is exactly what we got at CloonLara. Our hosts, Bernadette and Brian, could not have been more welcoming. After showing us to our room, Bernadette offered us... More

Bernadette was very helpful - answered all or questions. The room was clean, spacious and the bed very comfortable, well appointed shower well stocked with soaps, shampoo and shower gel. Delicious cooked breakfast with plenty of fruit, cereals, tea and coffee on offer. really enjoyed our stay.

We spent two nights at Cloonlara. Bernadette and Brian were exceptionally kind, amiable and attentive. The room (Louisa) was bright, clean, cosy and airy, a stone's throw from the bay and the high street, and the full English breakfast that we opted for each morning was delicious. We were given plenty of sound advice regarding where to walk and suitable... More

Spent two lovely nights at cloonlara. Very impressed with the room and the lovely reception we received from the hosts. They were more than helpful with suggestions and information about places to go and things to do. Room was spotless, very comfortable bed the size of a football pitch, lots of towels, a great size room and ensuite. Breakfast was... More

We visit Broadstairs every year in May to commemorate the birthday of an elderly relative who lived in the town. This was our third stay at Cloonlara, and once again we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful well equiped rooms, excellent veggie breakfast ( thanks for the sausages Bernadette!) and as always, a warm welcome. If you need any information on local... More
