Somewhat baffled by previous review, certainly doesn't tally with our experience. The house is a stunner inside, all dark greys and blues & interesting furniture & textiles. Jilly was really welcoming, rustling up prosecco & nibbles before we went out and full of information. Breakfast was delicious, a couple of poached fruit options followed by one of the nicest full... Having read some of the other unpleasant reviews unfortunately I have to agree with them in that I found Jilly the owner to be quite rude, scatty and condescending but maybe I just encountered her on a bad day, which is a pity. Perhaps she needs her own little holiday? The house itself was quite bare and I would have... More

We have travelled a lot and stayed in some great hotels but these breakfasts were probably the best. This is a quirky and enjoyable place to visit and jilly in particular was so engaging and enjoyable to chat to that we immediately felt at home. The rooms were very comfortable and there was an eclectic mix of things that we... More

You'll find Belvidere Place, tucked away just of the main high street in Broadstairs, Kent. It's a quirky little gem, filled with period charm. The warm welcome (by host Jilly) as you enter the establishment is matched by the period features and attention to detail only a lover of art would invest. With jazz music playing in the background and... More

Absolutely fantastic guesthouse. We were welcomed so warmly and had a really lovely stay. We were given fantastic recommendations which made out first trip to this part of the Kent Coast even more memorable. Breakfasts were fantastic and on Sunday we were treated to three courses, amazing! Our room was gorgeous with a massive bed and lovely furnishings. Absolutely perfect... More

We stayed for just one night, and wished that it could be longer. Broadstairs itself has such a pretty beach and seafront, but the highlight of our stay was definitely the house itself, which is beautifully decorated. Jilly was an absolutely charming host, and the breakfast was to die for.

So glad you had a good time... Broadstairs is such a sweet little town but like you say it can get busy sometimes sorry the neighbours were noisy that morning sadly there's not much I can do on that one Very best Jilly More

What a fantastic guesthouse. It has been decorated with loads of great vintage furniture. If you love strong Farrow and Ball paint colours but too afraid to try it, Jilly certainly wasn't. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very large but the best part of the stay was the most incredible breakfasts which keep you going all... More

My partner booked this place for two nights over the Easter weekend and I joined him for one. As I'm in this business myself, I love the opportunity to take notes and see how the competition does it! Top quality bed and fixtures throughout and the place oozes with character (but not in an overbearing way). Breakfast was an absolute... More

This is a lovely place to stay. The house is beautifully decorated with eclectic artwork and furniture. The food is delicious and made with fresh local ingredients. Jilly was a wonderful host, she helped us to find a place for dinner when we arrived late in the first night. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

We recently spent the weekend at Belvidere Place and had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and well-decorated. Our room was very large had a comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. Jilly is a very welcoming and generous host, and made sure that we were well looked after. The overwhelmingly positive reviews speak for themselves (and... More
