Beautiful setting in Slovenian countryside. Room was clean and cute and Lili's food was amazing (definitely do half-board and try the blueberry brandy). Her wine recommendations for the area were also top-notch. My only caution is that it can get quite hot in the summer and there is no AC or way to properly ventilate the room at night.

Thank you so much for your kind review. It's a great pleasure hearing you liked our tourist farm as well as the country itself. And yes, we were suprised by this year's hot summer too - the second hottest summer ever in Slovenia. We're really sorry you couldn't sleep well and are already planning to have AC installed. We'd love... More

If you are going to Slovenia,it is really worthwhile to stay at Seruga farm for a while. You can do lots of things from there, nothing is really far.The wooden house is extremely peaceful and very comfortable. You can sit outside near the stream, the dog,the cows, hear the goats. The owners are very nice people, very proud of their land.

This tourist farm offers, among ordinary rooms, also one special type of accomodation - a small wooden cottage for two persons. We had it for two nights and had great time there. There is a small kitchen, bathroom and fireplace in the basement and bedroom in the first floor. Everything looks very nice and is well maintained. We also took... More

We arrived in the Novo Mesto area looking for an overnight stay - it is not a very touristy area and we were having a bit of trouble when we spotted this tourist farm mentioned in the lonely planet guide. It took some finding but we were so pleased we perservered - it was so nice we stayed another night.... More

When I looked up Tourist farms in Slovenia, something about Seruga caught my eye. I quickly dropped a line to the owner (Lili), who replied immediately. I booked myself a single room for the weekend and drove from Ljubljana with my dog. We were greeted warmly by Lili, her husband and their beautiful Golden retriever, Ronka. Lili was very friendly,... The setting of this place is perfect for long leisurely walks through verdant countryside and charming villages. The breakfasts are varied, creative and interesting, besides delicious and more than generous. There are interesting sites nearby, which innkeeper Lili can recommend. Don't miss the nearby Cistercian monastery.

For those looking for a quiet and peaceful rural retreat we doubt you can find much better than Seruga Tourist Farm. Set in an idyllic location, with streams meandering through the property this is a working farm. Cows in the barn, farm implements around and food entirely raised or grown on the farm. Our room (#8) was huge, with wood... More

We were made very welcome at this charming little farm, and we had a very comfortable stay. We chose the half board option, and were so glad we did. We always ate well in Slovenia, but nowhere better than Seruga. The owners were friendly, helpful and kind, so really we can't praise it highly enough. There was lot to do... More

We did not eat here, except for breakfast, but Seruga is a very pretty little tourist inn! It is out in the quiet countryside near Otocec. Our room was very nice, roomy and a great value. We had a lovely, sunny second floor room that was immaculately clean with a balcony. If you are on the way south from Ljubljana, Seruga... More

nice settings and nice room, but the dinner was a huge disappointment: meat was inedible, the vegetables and potatoes served as a sidedish without any taste. and the wine was nothing special but amazingly expensive.
