A friend and I spent two days at Hotel Regua Douro. If you arrive by boat or by train, it is a very short walk to the hotel. The hotel overlooks a simply beautiful spot on the Douro river with terraced vineyards directly across the river. Most of the rooms are riverview, and make certain you get a riverview room.... more

No hesitation in recommending this Hotel. First class rooms and food. Very convenient for individual travellers, just a minute or two from the station where we arrived from Porto and a very short walk to the pier for cruise departures - make sure you are there for Saturday or Sunday if you want a full day cruise up-river to Barca.... more

Good location. Excellent view over the river Douro. Just in front of the train station where you can get the train to Pinhão and Pocinho (to explore the Douro river) Room was spacious and breakfast was good. Good price/quality ratio. Recommended. A better alternative (but more expensive) is Vintage House in Pinhão. more

Hi! Very beautiful hotel. DONT FORGET TO CHOOSE A RIVER SIDE ROOM. The sight is MAGNIFICENT. Realy. The rooms are good. The buffet breakfast is very good.
