The view from Gortnadiha Lodge is absolutely spectacular! We would highly recommend this stunning retreat to anyone travelling along the Southern coast. Eileen offers her guests a warm Irish welcome, recommends unique, less-traveled local destinations, and puts together a traditional Irish breakfast feast that lasts you until dinner time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to coming... More

Review #22 and we have to agree 100% with all previous reviews. Best breakfast....delicious, fresh and all locally grown. We also had had our best dinner in Ireland which Eileen recommended (see The Moorings)! This was all in the off season (March) as well. Great views, love the books and insights on Ireland. We will be back. Thanks, -jesse &... More

It is the loveliest most Irish B&B to stay at! Eileen and her husband make you feel at home from the very moment of arrival. After making ourselves comfortable in the spacious room with an utterly personal touch and loads of love in every detail, we then had a chat over a cup of tea in the most beautiful lounge... More

Thx to Eileen and her husband for their warm welcome and great hospitality. We had the best view over the bay and it truly was impressive. The room was comfortable, clean an just beatiful. I felt like a princess in there. Eileen fed us the best breakfast we had on our trip. Yoghurt, home made scones and a variety of... More

We regret we only had one night to stay. Eileen fed us a breakfast that was the best we had in Ireland. Began with breakfast fool made with home made yogurt, followed by eggs, sausages, bacon, delicious scones, toast, tea with milk, coffee and orange juice. Served with mix and match china and honey, jam, and served with cheerful energy.... More

Gortnadiha Lodge lived up to the expectations! A very comfortable place to stay in a serene environment. The view towards the bay and Dungarvan is excellent. Breakfast was always something to look forward to - excellent coffee and freshly baked scones! I managed to relax and sleep very well as the bed and bedlinen are of a very high standard.

Not usually a B&B dweller - I found myself with little choice when attending a friends wedding in Dungarvan than to reconsider my past misgivings after luckily stumbling upon Gortnadiha Lodge in County Waterford. Eileen greeted us with such a warm welcome that I couldn't help but be happy walking through the front door into a stylish hallway with a... More

Eileen breathes hospitality. The minute she opens the door to you, you know you could only be in Ireland. We had a glass of whiskey together, a chat about food and lovely restaurants, before I toddled off to bed. Her home is as welcoming as she is. You're awaked to an array of choice for breakfast. Beautiful crunchy granola with... More

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay in Gortnadiha Lodge. Eileen Harty is the epitome of Irish hospitality, friendly, helpful and interested in her guests. Her home is comfortable and elegant but very welcoming. Guests eat at a communal dining table in a lovely room which also contains two comfortable sofas with a selection of... More

I stayed at 7 B&B's in Ireland during a 2-week vacation, and this one ranks #1! Eileen went out of her way to make my trip to Ireland truly special. I arrived to receive a warm hug at my car followed by a hot cup of tea after what had been a grueling trip including a flat tire. I experienced... More
