My husband and I stayed here for a night while on a road trip around Ireland. The Tannery is in a perfect spot, near the water and a great night time pub (Merrys). The room itself was great, and breakfast was delicious and walking up to delivered pastries was fantastic. Eat at the Tannery as well, this is the gem... More

An unplanned overnight stay brought a warm and friendly welcome from all in the Tannery Restaurant. We stayed in the lovely townhouse which was bright and cheerful and had a tasty natural breakfast with fresh muffins awaiting us that evening..a real treat! Attention to detail was outstanding...great tv channels, provision of wine glasses, cool water and even earplugs!

I had to visit Dungarvan on a business trip, and wasn't impressed with the majority of hotels on offer. I was thrilled to discover the Tannery Townhouse, as it's exactly the kind of place I like. Independent, with personality and at a competitive price. I was glad parking wasn't a problem, as there is free off street parking opposite the... More

Booked the whole deal - room (€110) with a la carte menu option (€50 p.p. not incl. wine). The room we were assigned (No. 12 above the cookery school) was claustrophobically small, and too hot, hard to get around without bumping into one another. I think there should be a big percentage reduction for this room because of its size.... More

Given that this place trades on its food, the breakfast was VERY disappointing. We didn't mind that it was in the room, and liked that you could make your own proper tea or coffee. But the promised "fresh pastries outside your door" in the morning turned out to be one suety mass-produced plain muffin per person. The place is clean... More

Dungarvan was a beautiful and relaxing town to stay in. The Tannery Townhouse was very nice and the beds and rooms were inviting and quiet. The Tannery was very close to the little downtown and in very close proximity to the water.

We stayed because we were eating in the restaurant. The rooms are in a lovely Georgian town house. The decor is lovely and the bed comfortable. You are warned that they don't do breakfast but provide juice, tea/coffee, yoghurt and cereal and pastries. If only the pastries had been croissants rather than muffins! A bit expensive for what you get.

A friend and I booked into the town house over the phone the night before and spoke with a very pleasant member of staff who explained about its location and it's continental breakfast.. He knocked 5euro each off so we got the room for 100euro.. He assured us that we would have a comfortable stay and a lovely relaxed breakfast... More

Very nice townhouse in the old town of Dungarvan. close to more famous Tannery restaurant, this is an old house restructured to offer accomodation. Very spacious room, nicely fitted. I arrived on monday when the restaurant (where you make the check in) is closed. they called me on sunday to advise me about it, telling me to call them once... More
