Stayed here for one night with my 12 yr old daughter on our way across the south of Ireland. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The en-suite bathroom was also very nicely done with a good shower. The beds were exceptionally comfortable with lovely crisp fresh cotton sheets. The property is situated and nice distance away from... More

You Can at Kilcannon Hands up who knows how to relax? Easy, some may say - 'ah would you ever relax'. But it's a skill that is rarely perfected, eludes a lot of us and the value of whichis often under-estimated. But here's the good news - in a secluded corner of sleepy west county Waterford, relaxation comes as standard,... More

My husband and I spent a wonderfully relaxing week in Stableyard Cottage (a self-catering cottage attached to the B&B). We have stayed with Pat and Gertie many times and are always welcomed like old friends. This was our first stay in the cottage and it did not disappoint. The cottage is well-appointed and has everything you would need for a... More

After reading the mixed reviews of some of the hotels in Dungaravan we decided to try and find a nice B & B in the area. We chanced upon Kilcannon House. The property is located some way outside the town so it is important that you find the right road. Their website map is a great help in this regard.... More

We stayed only one night in July at Kilcannon House, which obviously was not enough!! We were treated to more than a "B&B".....It was a culinary delight ! Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, a very pretty and comfortable bedroom, wonderful hosts, and a truly "must go back" experience !!! Thank you Pat and Gertie....Excellent!

Pat and Gertie Ormond were the perfect hosts when I stayed in Kilccannon House for 3 nights of the Dungarvan Tradfest. Breakfast was such a work of art that it almost seemed a sacrilege to eat it. Where else will you be served a shot of Irish Whiskey to put in your porridge if you so choose? As for free... More

Gertie provides wonderful 'old school' Irish hospitality. Homemade jams, fine china, freshly ironed linens. The breakfast is beyond wonderful. Pat brought the history of the place alive. I was researching my father and grandfather and Pat knew the resources to tackle. He made their lives come alive. My daughter enjoyed feeding the horse. The conversations in the common area were... We stayed for 3 nights at this charming B & B. Our room was lovely and we slept very well. Breakfast was a gourmet treat. We also had dinner there on our first night. Gertie prepared a delicious hake. I have never had such a nice piece of fish. We were on a mission to find some relatives in the... More

I have just returned from my second visit to Kilcannon house and it never disappoints! Welcomed back like old friends it was like we had never been away. The welcome is truly warm, Pat and Gertie are the most generous hosts, the rooms are beautifully appointed and decorated to the highest standard. The food is fabulous - on a arrival... More

I recently stayed at the Kilcannon House with my husband for 3 nights, and we fell in love with it instantly. Owners Pat and Gertie are absolutely delightful and made our stay truly special. From the beautiful rooms, amazing food and friendly animals (Mac, Jeff, Henrietta and the rest:) it was an unforgettable experience. We plan to stay again on... More
