Had dinner as part of a party of 6 in Kilcannon house last weekend. You need to book in advance and it's just one group catered for per evening. Was such a lovely evening. As with other posts I totally agree that the food was outstanding, but added to that Gertie and Pat are the most tremendous hosts. It's a... More

Gertie and Pat are the ultimate hosts. They used to run a restaurant in Dungarvan and retired to open a guest-house amidst the lush river valleys and wooded hills of West Waterford. Gertie is an inspired chef, having been trained by Darina Allen, Jane Grigson, John Tovey and Anthony Worrall Thompson. Pat is an ex-mariner and a font of many... More

We were so delighted to have stayed with Gertie and Pat who are model hosts. This was one of the best B&B that we have ever stayed in anywhere. The attention to detail, the generosity of the welcome, the food, the animals, the views and location were just ideal for our break. Wish they were all like this!

We stayed here for 1 night in June. We were working in the area and needed some place to stay at very short notice and just stumbled on Kilcannon House. What a magical place! Everything about this B&B is exceptional and the owners, Pat & Gertie, offer their guests a very special and wonderful experience. The initial warm welcome, the... More

Stayed here for one night with my 12 yr old daughter on our way across the south of Ireland. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The en-suite bathroom was also very nicely done with a good shower. The beds were exceptionally comfortable with lovely crisp fresh cotton sheets. The property is situated and nice distance away from... More

You Can at Kilcannon Hands up who knows how to relax? Easy, some may say - 'ah would you ever relax'. But it's a skill that is rarely perfected, eludes a lot of us and the value of whichis often under-estimated. But here's the good news - in a secluded corner of sleepy west county Waterford, relaxation comes as standard,... More

My husband and I spent a wonderfully relaxing week in Stableyard Cottage (a self-catering cottage attached to the B&B). We have stayed with Pat and Gertie many times and are always welcomed like old friends. This was our first stay in the cottage and it did not disappoint. The cottage is well-appointed and has everything you would need for a... More

After reading the mixed reviews of some of the hotels in Dungaravan we decided to try and find a nice B & B in the area. We chanced upon Kilcannon House. The property is located some way outside the town so it is important that you find the right road. Their website map is a great help in this regard.... More

We stayed only one night in July at Kilcannon House, which obviously was not enough!! We were treated to more than a "B&B".....It was a culinary delight ! Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, a very pretty and comfortable bedroom, wonderful hosts, and a truly "must go back" experience !!! Thank you Pat and Gertie....Excellent!
