The place was dark when we showed up at 7 in the evening. We knocked on the door to a garage-looking front area, and the proprietor opened up by saying, "What do you want?" We explained we had a booking (made through booking.com) for several nights. Another man in the room working on a wooden door laughed and said, "You... More

- less noise - less people - less traffic - more total silence (as much as you want; free of charge) - more freedom for your children - more nature - more wine of highest quality If you are in need of all the above, this is the place to be. Certainly it is not easy to find even with... More

Probably not for the faint hearted. It is not that easy to find and the manager (the father of the owner) isn't the most communicative person. The cooking equipment is not particularly good so unless you go for salads or pastas on top of the gas hob (no oven) then be prepared to eat out. However, the location is beautiful,... More

We booked this hotel through hotels.com, and it was not what I expected. As Wine lovers, I thought it would be a nice experience to stay in a vineyard, we stayed in France in places like this, I mean little hotels near vineyards or in the middle of it and it was fantastic. Not the case here, the place is... More

I booked to stay one night in this hotel with booking.com on february 5th. I came with my wife in the hotel at 2 PM, for my surprise the place was closed. The only thing that I find was a little card on the door with the information that the hotel it is close between 12 and 3 PM. I... More

Our group of four found this to be a wonderful stop in the Tuscany region. We drove in with a GPS in our rental car, and there was confusion about the residence's location, but a local resident was kind enough to direct us when we knocked on his door. Arriving at night in the fog, we initially were unaware of... More

We were on a tight budget and checked the Tripadvisor views carefully. Even though there were great reviews, we were very skeptical when only paying 50 euros a night. We shouldn't have worried - we were very impressed. It was a picture postcard setting surrounded by vineyards, lots of gardens filled with flowers and herbs - which the Italian Manager... More

The Brizio is a few kilometres outside Montalcino, which is both a good and a bad thing. The good - it's amazingly quiet, and set in the middle of a working vineyard. So, you can drink a bottle of Brunello in the middle of the actual vines from which it came. This is a brilliant thing to do, and not... More

This is a really nice place to stay if you want to experience the classic tuscan countryside and do a lot of chilling out or walking. The apartment we stayed in was clean and traditional and had all the kitchen equipment we required, only bad point was no tv (which was only missed because Euro 2008 was on). One major... More
