We enjoyed again taking the grand Tour of Italy and then finished up with three wonderful days in Montalcino at the Palazzina Cesira, our favorite part of the trip. Their large and gracious B&B made us feel like we were personal guests in their perfectly appointed home. Lucilla takes such great care in the cooking and serving the perfect breakfast... More

Stayed at this pleasant bed and breakfast for three nights. We really enjoyed Robert and his lovely wife's hospitality. Every marker of a great b&b is here, a warm welcome, beautiful huge bedroom and bathroom, great breakfasts, all the information on where to go, (including a map). They even arranged a wine tour for a group of people from the... More

We had a very nice experience at Palazzina Cesira. The room was large, and decor throughout the establishment was tasteful and creative. The host and hostess were very eager to assist with any questions we might have about visiting the area, and Roberto is able to accommodate suggestions for most any type of travel experience you might prefer. One suggestion for... We stayed three nights in this wonderful B&B. Everything about our stay was first class; presentation, service, friendliness, helpfulness, room size, furnishings, breakfast, location in the town, availability of free parking, maintenance standards, size of rooms, and standard of fittings. Wi-fi worked fine in the common areas but in the upstairs bedrooms, was very patchy. (Host Robert is aware of... More

OK, we didn't actually STAY at the Palazzina Cesira because one of our travelers broke his hip and we had to re-route our trip to Italy. But, during the booking process and the eventual cancellation process, Lucilla and Robert were 'above-and-beyond' helpful and accommodating. That, to me, says a LOT about an establishment. We had pre-paid for one night and... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in late March, and we really enjoyed our time. The owners Robert and Lucilla were so gracious and extremely helpful. The location can't be beat, right in the middle of town, and parking is a short walk away. The breakfast was also very good, with the traditional Italian breakfast staples, but... More

We have just enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights at Palazzina Cesira and can't wait to return one day and in the meantime recommend it to our friends. What beautiful hosts Roberto and Lucilla are, very attentive and so interesting to chat with and due to their thoughtful suggestions, we felt we made the most of our time in that region... More

We stayed three nights, 24-27 October and were impressed with the beautiful decor and fascinating 'objets d'art' from all over the world. The rooms were well appointed and the breakfasts delicious. Lucilla provided an array of home made and local delicacies and her table was always immaculately presented. Roberto was extremely helpful with this local knowledge and we would definitely... More

Montalcino was our destination of choice for our first trip to both Italy and Tuscany and we could not have chosen a better place to stay than Palazzina Cesira. Robert and Lucilla were the most gracious of hosts and not only provided us with a sumptuous breakfast on each of our 4 days there but also great insight and information... More

We stayed with Robert and Lucilla on 7Oct2014 and this B&B was the highlight of our trip. Robert is the most knowledgable historian of the area. He laid out a driving tour for us and it was the highlight of our trip. The breakfast prepared by Lucilla was just the best. We will definitely stay with them when we travel... More
