I think it must be the 5th or 6th time we have stayed at this hotel in Montalcino. It is all about the view, the pool and the location that brings us back. However, this was probably the last time we will stay here. The room we got was dark and on the first floor with little sound insulation. We... More

Nice hotel in center of Montalcino. Big clean rooms, very nice breakfast. Small nice pool with fantastic view to Tuscany lanscape. No restaurant in hotel, there is small bar bit you need to ask at reception to be served. Good for 1 noght in city but for longer stay better stay in one of a lot of b&b in winerys

We were in Tuscany for the first time. We spent a week at a Borgo near Monteriggioni, and then in Assisi, and then drove over the mountains to a valley where there were abbeys and castles every few miles. Our goal was to get to Montalcino and Hotel dei capitani. We picked the hotel from Trip Advisor, and had a... More

I know its only a 3 star hotel but you don't expect to be able to have a conversation with the next room occupants whilst they're using the bathroom in the night! The hotel is within the town walls so a great location and the views are fabulous from rooms at the back but there I'm afraid it ends. The... More

A lovely place to spend a few days - or longer - in Montalcino or in the Val D'Orcia area. I stayed a couple of nights here as part of a www.girosole.com organized walking tour of the area, and this was my jumping off point. Well situated with amazing views over the surrounding valleys and hills and with a gorgeous... More

Absolutely gorgeous! This small place has great rooms, an amazing pool, and breath taking Tuscany views! It was a perfect way to get away from the huge crowds of tourist I experienced in other Italian cities while on vacation. They have a great little breakfast and wifi. They staff was super awesome too! Its truly a gem, a bit of... More

The rooms are pretty basic and fancy but then the hotel itself faces the beautiful view of Montalcino, making the pool an excellent place to hang out. The staffs are very helpful and will go out of their way to recommend places to visit, where to park etc. good location with easy access to all parts of the city. The... More

My wife and I spent two nights at this property last month. I would definitely opt to get a room overlooking the valley rather than being on the street side of the hotel. The stunning view is the definite "highlight" of this hotel. Our room was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was small as was the shower. We did... More

We stayed in this hotel in March this year. It was a wonderful experience . Short walk up the hill to numerous restaurant El Grego was our favourite. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and nothing was to much bother. Be sure to get a room (we had 306) that overlooks the view it's spectacular. It... More

Stayed 3 nights at the end of April at this hotel. Great location. We could open our windows and see the beautiful Tuscany vista - fields of grape vines , rolling hills, cypress trees. Loved it. Room was great, clean and comfortable but the walls were paper thin and could hear EVERYTHING!
