My husband I spent 4 nights here on our honeymoon in Oct 2013. The view from our room was amazing - I really enjoyed drinking wine and eating baked goods from the bakery while looking at the view. Breakfast was typical. Meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt etc. It was steps away from a few really good restaurants and included parking for... More

This hotel has a fantastic view of the hills of Tuscany. Other than that, it's pretty average. The staff didn't seem that interested in helping the guests. They weren't exactly rude but it just seemed like they were into customer service. The breakfast was not good. I would not stay there again if I ever went back to Montacino. Rooms... More

This was my fourth time stay at the mom and pop style hotel. The location of the hotel continues to be its strength. The view from the room is quite enchanting. Breakfast room is relaxing with a lovely view of the valley although the food variety is minimal, as is the service. Internet is free but can be irritatingly slow... More

We stayed for two nights during our self-guided hiking tour of Tuscany. We were a little disappointed that the pool was closed for renovation as we were really looking forward to it after the long hike. The views from this hotel are stunning, especially in the morning. We chose the "comfort level" for our hiking tour so our room overlooked... More

We stayed here as the first leg in our walking tour of the Tuscan hill towns. Room was clean and very nicely set up with a good sized bath. The bed was in a loft area that required 10-12 stairs to reach - bath is on the first floor. Staff were friendly and professional. As noted in other reviews, you... More

We spent two nights here and found it centrally located, comfortable and quiet. Sitting on the terrace in the evening was heaven. The hotel staff were very helpful and the house wine was excellent. They offer a large selection of foods for breakfast.

We have stayed about a dozen times. Perfect for us for Montalcino. Nice helpful staff. Massimo has been helping us since 1999. Valley view rooms provide great views. Located inside the town. Short walk to center. Free parking. Good basic breakfast. Clean comfortable room and bath. Great value for the view and location. Wifi good in common areas, less reliable... More

Nice Hotel with excellent views. I heard one guest complain that a shrub was blocking his view so look into that. Our view was for miles of the Tuscany farmland. Very nice breakfast and reading rooms downstairs off the patio also with valley views. The bed was just OK. we stayed in 3 different hotels in Italy, all in the... More

I travel to Italy almost every year. Montalcino is my favourite place in all of Italy and this hotel is my favourite place in Montalcino. I have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. The location and views are stunning. The hotel is charming but the rooms themselves are admittedly not as spacious as one might like, but... More

Beautiful view, hotel very well decorated. Staff exceptionally helpful. Breakfast really good, but our room was very noisy being next to the lift and having air-conditioning units outside our window. Walls thin, certainly in the room we were in. We just could not sleep. The hotel was fully booked and were unable to move us. So disappointing as we had... More
