This is a family run hotel and we saw them go to great lengths to make sure all of their guests were happy. I requested a room with a nice view when I made the reservation and we were very happy with the room we received. See the attached photos. The bath was larger than we expected and quite nice... Cozy and quaint, the Il Giglio restaurant provided my husband and I with a wonderful dining experience overall. We opted for the seasonal tasting menu with wine pairings; all courses were outstanding and the wine was well paired. The service felt intimate and attentive, more like dining with family than at a restaurant. It is small (4-6 tables) so make... More

I can only speak to the restaurant, Il Giglio, as I did not stay in the hotel. However, I would like to recommend this restaurant to any visitors to Montalcino. I am a travel professional and was sharing this pretty town and the Abbey Sant' Antimo with 18 guests. I had communicated with Il Giglio, prior to our visit both... More

We stayed in this b and b in june as part of a self guided biking tour with our family. I will start with the pros. It was lovely, right in the quaint town of montalcino. The rooms were small but comfortable. The bathroom was very small but great shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. The views... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights as part of our walking trip from Siena to Montepulciano. The hotel is very centrally located and as other reviewers have already mentioned is family run. Stay in for dinner at least one night and enjoy the meal and wines. Because of its position, kitchen and friendly staff staying in this hotel... More

Well we originally planned on two nights in Montalcino but the charm and hospitality kept us there for five. This hotel/B&B served as our home base to discover the Montalcino and Montepulciano areas of Tuscany. The hotel is family run and they made us feel at home instantly. The room was comfortable and had air conditioning for those hot nights.... More

We had two nights booked at this hotel in Montelpuciano and ended up staying for 5. We were so comfortable and the owners made us feel at home every day. The hotel and the rooms have so much character and charm while the dining room has a view that leaves you speechless. Montepulciano is a great central hub for those... More

We stayed at the hotel as part of a big group, we didn't stay in the main building, which I think is way better than the rooms we stayed in, they took us to Hotel La Torre, part of the same group for what they explained to us. The rooms were clean and big, the only thing they really need... More

Everything about this hotel suited these two baby boomers perfectly. The rooms were well fitted out with beautiful toiletries, little bar fridge, fabulous views and a great restaurant as well. The gracious hosts are all one family and not only told us the best places to eat in the area but arranged two personal winery visits with son Michale escorting... More

Right in the historic centre, this little gem is a model of Italian style and simplicity. The charming rooms have lots of beautiful details, like the marble tiled bathroom and brass bath fixtures. The bed was very comfortable and the view over the Valdorcia breathtaking. The breakfast was excellent, served on exquisite table linens. The staff was very helpful with... More
