Il Giglio is located in the center of Montalcino with a lot of nice shops around. The hospitaly of the owner and his staff was great. A plus was definitively the parking service provided by hotel, especially being stressed out because of non-existing parking space in other towns experienced. Breakfast was fine with a lot of tasty home made cakes.... More

We did not stay at the Hotel, just had dinner. We thought the restaurant was just beautiful. Very classy and comfortable. The food was excellent and the owner and his son made us feel very welcome. We will be going back for our anniversary tomorrow!

On a hot summers day we decided to drive through the endless Tuscan wine fields without destination and ended up in the quaint little town of Montalcino. Il Giglio Hotel was a great option for a night stay especially the stunning view from our hotel room window. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, they were eager to please... More

A group of 8 stayed here in November as part of our Tuscany trip. We reserved a room with a panoramic view of the valley below. It wasn't a large room, and it may have been a tight squeeze if we had brought our large suitcases. It was cozy. It had an excellent view. The breakfast was satisfying. The owners... More

This review is for the hotel and the restaurant. We stayed here in October and really enjoyed it. The price was reasonable for the area and the hotel is located in the heart of Montalcino. It's not modern by any means but that is part of the charm of Tuscany. The rooms are clean and well-kept with updated marble bathrooms.... More

We been to Montalcino several times and to celebrate an important day, we decided to come back. The Hotel "Il Giglio" was selected trough Tripadvisor but this time we didn't agreed with the value for money. The Hotel is in a great location, cosy, warm and the owner family is friendly. Unfortunately the rooms are small and storing space is... More

I want a GOOD option because this is more than average, a bit less than very good..... Staying two nights, this is a good b&b, breakfast is excellent with eggs, ham, cheese in addition to the traditional cakes, cereals and yoghourt. Excellent cappuccinos too! The restaurant was closed on our first night, on the second the family had dinner when... More

We visited Il Giglio for the second time and I feel as though a trip to Tuscany might need to be an annual event. We were greeted as old friends by owners, Mario and Ana. There are a few times in life where you have that amazing meal and your time there was so magical that you feel you have... More

Cycling through Tuscany, we stopped at this hotel in the town centre. Our room was a little small (others may have been bigger) as was the bathroom, but we did have a terrace with a tremendous view over the surrounding countryside (I think it was room no 1 or 2). Bed was fine and sleep was good. Breakfast was fine... More

This place is magic! My husband has taken me to Il Giglio twice; we were blown away by the experience both times. Food served from Ana's kitchen melts in your mouth, Mario perfectly pairs the wine, and Michele handles everything smoothly and efficiently. A truly lovely experience with an accomplished, accommodating staff. GO!!!
