Stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful town in Italy (wish it was longer). The views from our room were picture postcards as is the whole town. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The only downside is that you have to carry your bags up flights of stairs with no assistance, so if you are an elder person you... More

We stayed in room 1, which offered a beautiful balcony. The room is small, so if you have large suitcases, you will be in trouble. The shower leaked water on to the floor very badly, but it was nice to have a walk in shower. The staff was always very helpful. They offer free private parking, but you need to... More

We just got back from six days at Il Giglio and we had a wonderful time. The owners, their son, and his girlfriend (who works there) are all wonderful people. We had drinks at the bar two evenings, we shopped at Anna’s cute little store next door, and we had dinner in the restaurant – the food was superb, thanks... More

Stayed two nights in late October and had a good stay here. Beautiful view from our first floor room at the back of the hotel and an easy walk into the piazza. Breakfast included lots of cakes that were disappointing relative to other hotel stays and could have been better by simply offering a selection of breads. Cafe was exceptional... More

I spent 6 nites at this hotel - great room with lovely view and nice location. The town is fairly small, so location really isn't an issue at all. The owners, Anna and Mario and their son, Michele were helpful and welcoming. Okay, now let's get to the food: aside from their amazing restaurant (for which Anne is chef extraordinaire),... More

I stayed in this hotel for my holiday. It was so lovely and welled managed hotel, located in the center of the city close to Piazza del Popolo and the Fortress of Montalcino. I was stunned with the lovely lobby and the view out side the lobby's window. The staffs were helpful esp. Mr.Mario and his wife. The single room was small... More

What a beautiful town! This was our favourite place in Tuscany, unfortunately we could only stay one night. Pros: comfortable rooms, nice enough breakfast, lovely owners. Cons: no view from our room (number 4- unless you stuck your head out the window!) Maybe we were given this room because we were only staying one night? Advertised as all double rooms... More

I really enjoyed staying here. Decorated in the most traditional way. It was great. We had spectacular views across the countryside from our room. The breakfast was delicious - again overlooking gorgeous vineyards and with homemade delights. Also parking is included with the room. They were so helpful and with everything. Would highly recommend. We stayed in Room 7 and... More

My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel 11 years ago and I had always wanted to return. We were able to stay in room 1 where we had stayed before which has a lovely terrace with a view. The room is fairly small but it has everything one needs including a comfortable bed. Breakfast was cereal, fruit, croissants,... More

We used this hotel as a one night stay on a cycling tour of Tuscany. Our bikes were stored in a lock up nearby. The hotel itself is moderate but quite sufficient. I would not want to stay here longer than a couple of nights. Service is indifferent, for example there is no lift and as our room (room 9... More
