Simple and cozy room and bathroom with very friendly hosts in the middle of a large organic vineyard. Beautiful and scenic on a mountaintop with a commanding view of much of Southern Toscano. Five minutes by car outside of Montalcino, with lots of wonderful recommendations on where to go. The wine is fantastic, and the olive oil was my favorite... More

My sister, father and I searched for Il Cocco after it was recommended in a review of organic wineries in Tuscany. We had called ahead to book a wine tasting but were embarrassingly late. The vintner Giacamo apologized that he did not have time to give us a wine tasting because he had an appointment. We asked if we could... More

This is a little farmhouse in a picturesque setting. Don't expect too much from the accommodation - this is no frills. We are not talking luxury just a simple room and bathroom. If anything I would call it a bit eclectic but it's comfortable none the less and reasonably priced. The surrounding scenery is breath-taking (shame you don't get a... More

We started our hiking tour of Tuscany at Il Cocco. Giacomo & his staff were warm, hospitable & welcoming. We got a fantastic tour of his wine-making facilities & this was topped off by an awesome sampling of the wines. Would definitely return!

We stumbled across this vineyard almost by mistake and we are glad that we did. We were given an incredibly friendly welcome and taken into the tasting room surrounded by lots of new and old bottles of wine. As a setting to taste wine it was stunning. It was made all the better by the visit of the owners incredibly... More

I have stayed a week on the campersite of Il Cocco and it was perfect. Very quiet, a beautifull view over the vineyard, every night between 7 and 7.30 p.m. a beautiful if not spectacular sunset. And because there was most of the time a fesh wind blowing, it was never to hot.

We stayed one night at Il Cocco B&B. The welcome was very friendly, and the room was nice and clean. The place is quite unusual, with cats and dogs and rabbits all around. They even had a horse. We got an excellent restaurant tip and when we returned in the night, we could enjoy a bottle of their own produced... More
