My wife and I were on a Wine trip in Tuscany together with friends and spent one night at the Le Ragnaie. The property is lovely. Situated on the top of a hill surrounded by the typical Tuscan landscape with cypress trees, wine yards and soft hills. The owner is very friendly and did their best to make this a... More

Stayed for one night in the beautifulMontalcino area. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner and promptly checked in. Friendly lady who gave us lots of great tips and info before we headed off to our wine tastings. The location, as others have said, is outside of the city but you cannot get around in this... More

Not a pleasant experience at all. We were doing a road-trip around the country side of the beautiful Tuscany this Easter. Montalcino was one the most important stops of our trip and we really wanted to spend a night in the rural area of Montalcino to fully enjoy the scents and flavours of the land. On paper Le Ragnaie looks... More

Dear Sir we are very sorry about your inconvenience. Unfortunately we had an overbooking that day but apparently you were not helped in the right way and I apologize. Please come again as our guest if you are in the area regards More

Nicely and recently renewed, free wifi, great people and great wine. Right outside the village, relaxing and with an amazing view! Highly recommended either for families, couples or just wine lovers! The cellar is a must to see! Can't wait to go back!

The Hotel is part of an Azienda Agricola which produces the famous Brunello and also some special beers. It´s not close to the city center, but in a 5-minute-drive it´s possible to be at the historical center. Rooms are confortable and spacious. Breakfast is good (country style). Wi-fi works very well and there´s free parking. There´s and outdoor swimming pool... More

Had a delightful weekend at this truly great bed and breakfast. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have great Tuscan charm. Bathroom was spotless and had hot water. Staff were super responsive. And to top it all off-- a fantastic pool area!

Magical setting, serene vistas of grapevines sloping below our terrace, large pool, immaculate and lovely amenities and decor, linen curtains and bedding, waffle weave robes....it felt like Provence and yet it is the Tuscan style! Gorgeous outdoor seating areas, one with stone steps bordered with purple flowers up to herb garden..lavender abounds. Small kitchenette for those who wish to cook... More

We stayed in July 2014 for a nearby wedding. A lovely hotel with friendly staff and great views, in a useful location (close enough to Montalcino, and also on an easy road for Grosseto and Siena). I strongly advise renting a car, but there's excellent parking and driving around Tuscany is very easy (even though I'd never driven in Italy).... More

To be noted, Le Ragnaie has 10 self-catering apartments and 3 rooms. We got a room, and therefore I am rating this as a B&B / hotel / guest house. This was our first experience of an agriturismo, so I have based my rating against what one gets in a similarly-priced B&B in the UK. Our experience was OK, but... More
