We stayed here in Oct 2013 for 2 nights. The owner is a classy lady who readily provides good advice on how to spend your time. We like the exposed bricks in the bedroom and the furnishings are kept small so you have room to move about the room. Breakfast is mostly breads, some cheese, and coffee/juice. The disappointment we... More

An awesome place to stay in Montalcino. The owner is a really great person, she gives you a lot a helpful information. Very very clean room. Well located! When you book this b&b you will receive directions to get there, print those and follow them. The place is not easy to find as montalcino is a really old city with... More

A friend and I stayed there for a few days back in 2004. Although the place was a little difficult to locate, once on site, the place was amazing and the owner absolutely charming and very helpful. We had such a great time, if I ever need to stay in Montalcino again, I will definitely return there.

I find the most luxurious 5* hotels can make you feel let down if you don't feel welcome. We only stayed here for one night as this was our first time in the area and didn't know which towns we were going to like. Our only regret was not staying longer! Dida was the perfect host, made us feel welcome... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights and we will definitely return. We were given an excellent road description in advance and were welcomed by Dida, the very friendly owner. She gave us great tips for restaurants, nice views, wineyards etc. The room was beautiful and clean and the breakfast was served in the nice garden. We will return!... More

Very nice B&B in the lovely hilltop town of Montalcino. We stayed here for three nights during our honeymoon. It was a bit difficult to find but Annalisa was kind enough to meet us in town and direct us to the location. The room was beautifully decorated, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast in the garden was enough to get... More

Extremely nice and clean room. Amiable host. Good location. Beware of stairs to town.... very steep. Only criticism is that the very bare minimum was given. No kettle in room for making tea, although Annalisa was very quick to provide when asked. Breakfast was a TINY croissant and TINY bread roll each with some jam and ONE cup of,coffee (not... More

We really liked this B&B. The location is quite hard to find, but for us it was perfect. It's quiet, yet within walking distance to the center. There is a lovely garden with a patio - perfect to sit after walking around Montalcino. The room was nice, with an old brick wall and a cute little wrought-iron table with matching... More

We just spent three nights in beautiful Porta Castellana. Annalisa made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. She gave us lots of helpful information regarding places in town and nearby. The room is very comfortable and extremely clean with a great view. Breakfast was served outside in the garden with a gorgeous view. Extremely relaxing. You can... More

My partner and I recently stayed at this B&B and we had such a lovely time. We received a room with a four poster bed, which was unique and added to the Tuscan/romantic feel. The bedding and bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable (a hairdryer was supplied). The breakfast was brought down into our room, which was appreciated. It was... More

This house, with its massive stone walls, is situated in the north-eastern area of Montalcino, ancient city in the heart of Val d'Orcia (Orcia valley) also known as "Crete Senesi" (Sienese clays). From here it's possible to have one of the best views of Val d'Orcia: San Quirico d'Orcia, Pienza and, during the clearest mornings, Montepulciano. This abode is part of one of the most important buildings of Montalcino's history, which used to be the city's mill.
