Clean well furnished rooms, wonderful wiew over Toscanas hills, a warm welcome, you wont be disappointed. Parkingplace nearby rooms, but steap street to climp up to town, so you need to be healthy to walk.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our stay in Montalcino. We have always stayed at Hotel Di Capitani, but decided to try something else. We did not regret! Porta Castellana is a nice property with a beautiful garden. The breakfast is served outside and you have your private table in the garden. The rooms are very nice and spacious,... More

Well what can I say... Absolutely the best place we've stayed in Tuscany thus far. Dida the owner is the most amazing lady you'll meet and her place is clean, comfy, romantic, and simply breathtaking. She helped us with all best places to visit in the region. Only wish we had stayed longer. Not to be missed if you are... More

This is a classy place - our bedroom was very nicely decorated, with exposed brick walls and lots of old features. Breakfast is outside at a pretty little table with views over the surrounding countryside. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. Recommended.

Porta castellana is a good choice, has a good price, breakfast is simple but good, served outside with a nice view from the hills of the city. The owner is very friendly, has a parking lot and good bed and bathroom. To go downtown you will have to walk quite a bit, there is this long stairway to get downtown,... More

We stayed here in Oct 2013 for 2 nights. The owner is a classy lady who readily provides good advice on how to spend your time. We like the exposed bricks in the bedroom and the furnishings are kept small so you have room to move about the room. Breakfast is mostly breads, some cheese, and coffee/juice. The disappointment we... More

An awesome place to stay in Montalcino. The owner is a really great person, she gives you a lot a helpful information. Very very clean room. Well located! When you book this b&b you will receive directions to get there, print those and follow them. The place is not easy to find as montalcino is a really old city with... More

A friend and I stayed there for a few days back in 2004. Although the place was a little difficult to locate, once on site, the place was amazing and the owner absolutely charming and very helpful. We had such a great time, if I ever need to stay in Montalcino again, I will definitely return there.

I find the most luxurious 5* hotels can make you feel let down if you don't feel welcome. We only stayed here for one night as this was our first time in the area and didn't know which towns we were going to like. Our only regret was not staying longer! Dida was the perfect host, made us feel welcome... More
