This hotel took us for a wild ride and didn't seem to care how badly they were screwing us! We booked our one night hotel stay two months earlier directly through the hotel's website which cost us $350. We arrived at 6pm only to be told that our room "had been given away" and that "there are no other rooms... More

Our family of 4 stayed here in early June for two nights. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a lakeview room with an amazing terrace looking out over Lake Como toward Bellagio. The views were stunning and the terrace (complete with lounge chairs and table and chairs) made hanging out on the terrace a real delight. The room size was... More

I had never visited Italy before and when this hotel came up as a special offer,I took the plunge. I had the most wonderful holiday due to the friendly and attentive staff of this hotel, nothing was too much trouble for them. I stayed in a single room at the back of the hotel with a lovely garden view. It... More

What can I say?! Could be a large residential home! Definitely not 4 star - more like a 3 star. It is tour bus hell - big groups bussed in for 1-2 nights. Think holiday reps punting their wares in the reception area. We stayed in a lake view room. Great views and the balcony is nice to sit on... More

I booked this hotel based on other reviews. I guess I did not read between the lines. This hotel caters to tour buses and, In the past I have found that hotels that do so have a lower quality of rooms. This certainly applied in this case: We booked a lakeview room with large doors opening to a outdoor patio.... More

Aside from the apparent haunted hotel, the grand was an average place to stay in a quiet charming lake front hotel, in comparison to the grand Tremmezo down the road with their lakefront pool, the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia may seem overrated, but the charm of the surrounding area makes up for it. the views of bellagio acros the lake are... Had a weeks stay this March at the Hotel Cadenabbia in Lake Como and really enjoyed it. Lovely hotel with beautiful views from the Restaurant at breakfast time. We went with a package with the Travel Department and was surprised that the food was so good in this Hotel. We originally stayed in a standard room which was quite large... More

As someone else has already pointed out, you can ignore any of the older reviews as this hotel has just been renovated completely. When we stayed there, the building work was just (about) completed. We were lucky that our room didn't really get affected by the remaining work that was going on, but the massive crane that was above the... More

We booked this hotel for one night in transit to skiing. The highlight was our lake-front view, which was not what we booked, but rather, what the staff upgraded us to. Our rooms were on the second floor, and not refurbished to the same extent as the other higher floors were, but the room and balcony vista more than offset... More

We booked this hotel for a last minute 2-night break, primarily as we knew the location to be excellent and we got a fabulous price through Expedia. Basically, any review or photos over a year old are best ignored as these will relate to the old Bellvue Hotel, which was apparantly a fairly dated 3* establishment. The re-named and completely...
