This has once been a very grand hotel, sadly it's now very tired and needs some TLC. We had a superior room with a balcony. Unfortunately the air con didn't work properly, the toilet was dirty, the furniture was old and most of it was in poor condition and our sheets were not changed for the entire time we were... More

Brown stains around the toilet rim, air con didn't work, sheets not changed once in 90 degree heat, broken and tired furniture. We had room 234 and we were assured by the Scottish owner that we had 'hit the jackpot' in getting that room. Firstly, we had paid for it, so it wasn't 'luck'. Secondly, if that's what you call... This hotel has obviously been very grand its past. It has been refurbished a few years ago and is looking a bit tired again in some places. The all inclusive wristband is a bit surprising but you get used to it. The food is plentiful and very varied, catering for all tastes. The only drawback for the lovely salady lunches... More

My first venture into all-inclusive and also my last.On arrival a wrist band was affixed to my wrist which would guarantee second class service throughout my stay. This wristband resembled the type used by the N.H.S.which was a bit unfortunate as the herds of pensioners looked if they had escaped from their wards. The hotel seems to cater mainly for the coach... this hotel is in a lovely position overlooking Lake Como and has a grand appearance- we stayed for 11nights and I think most people have short stays which might be ok. We arrived at the hotel to find a blood stain on one of our pillows- we left it for the cleaner to change only to find she put a... More

Shearings and Thompson use this hotel for their all-inclusive coach trips to Lake Como. This was our first such trip and we had upgraded from a standard to a deluxe room so we could get a room with a view. When we checked in, we asked to see our room and also to look at a superior room with a... More

As other reviewers have noted, the breakfast is good. As long as you there between 8:00 - 9:00 exactly. We arrived in the evening with the promise of free parking. The hotel has about 10 spots behind the property, which were of course taken. The desk advised is that we could find a spot across the highway in the public... More

We were jvery impressed with the hotel, good selection of food, clean room, most of the staff spoke English and a couple go them were from Britain. It was our first experience of an "all inclusive"holiday and found it to be very good although a few people took advantage and in some cases there was a lot of waste. The... More
