There seems little point in writing a comprehensive review as, looking at the repetitive criticisms of the Hotel, it is clear that the Hotel Management are either taking no notice of or not reading the reviews. A few points prompting my 2/5. 1.A very nice LARGE glass of beer served in the bar before dinner. The same beer after dinner... More

We stayed mid august with a little trepidation after reading previous reports We were met after a long journey with superb friendliness and were dealt swiftly with there being over 40 Straight to dinner which was more than adequate The meals over the week were exceptionally done as they cater for over 500 The wine well I have had better... Although we were obviously aware this hotel was only a three star and not necessarily going to be the height of indulgent luxury we felt that was no excuse for almost in edible food and rude staff. Other reviews describe it in the league of a holiday camp and the dining room experience was certainly of that ilk. Hoards of... More

Our visit to Italy was at the end of June 2014. The Britannia hotel was an enjoyable place to stay, with very pretty and breath taking surroundings. I stayed on the top floor in a twin room with another member of my family. There were stunning views. The breakfast on the first day was something else... I mean it was... More

Booked a single and got a perfectly acceptable small double for single use. It was clean and the newly refurbished bathroom was very smart. It is a hotel very much focussed on its market which is English coach tours. The packed lunch was grim as was the basic all inclusive but we had upgraded and it was really worth it.... More

A week here was painful and the only positive thing we could say was it had nice views. The bedroom although with balcony was really basic, 2 single beds pushed (not fixed ) together, uncomfortable mattress and damp in bathroom. We had a terrible smell and complained but no one really interested, the simply covered the bidet with a towel.... More

All in all a very negative experience with this hotel. MISLEADING INFO 1. Queensize bed = 2 single beds that slide away from each other very easy 2. Parking = rarely available. Only 15 or so spots for about 200 rooms that are accessible to anyone (not limited to hotel guests). This leaves only paid parking spots (be sure to... More

My partner and I stayed here for a week in July 2014. We were a little wary after reading the bad reviews. However, we had nothing to worry about. Food I am a fussy vegetarian and my partner will not eat carbs so the food we thought would be an issue and to be honest it was - in that... More

Just back from this hotel and have a few things to say. Firstly the dining room floor was covered with rotten fruit first thing in the morning from the night before. The Lido restaurant is certainly not fine dining. The Grill was good as long as it does not rain as there is no cover. When it rains and it... More
