We spent three nights in Villa La Mirabella the second week in October. What a wonderful treat! Paolo was a most amazing host who was constantly striving to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was quite lovely and the hotel itself has been recently restored. It is an oasis in itself with lovely gardens and an inviting pool although the... More

We just returned from a couple of weeks driving in Europe where we spent three nights at Villa La Mirabella. The inn has recently been lovingly restored to a beautiful inn. We were in awe of the decor and workmanship of the restoration. The rooms, grounds and common areas are beautiful and very comfortable. The family who owns this inn... More

Our 5th visit to Lake Como and the best hotel by far. So much so that we are returning again next year. Family run with great attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Nothing too much trouble and happy to accommodate the needs of guests. Local advice on places to visit given with pride. Restaurants nearby but not essential to visit... More

Four of us stayed at La Mirabella for a long weekend to celebrate a 50th birthday. Paolo was very prompt to respond to all emails and it was a pleasure to meet him. The hotel was very clean and beautifully presented - it was full of interesting (and original) items. We had room 2 which had a balcony looking over... More

We just loved this hotel! The rooms are huge and Paolo, the owner, is amazing. He speaks English beautifully and is so warm and welcoming. He helps you with everything and answers a million questions with enthusiasm. There is a swimming pool, a good breakfast, and free secure parking which is so important in these lake towns. We could see... More

just back, after 11 days at the Mirabella, and what a pleasure it was to stay there. Paolo and his brother, and his mum and dad, who run the hotel are the loveliest family you could wish to meet, they go out of their way to help you with any trips to organise, and any thing else you might need. the... The service here is so nice and friendly - I felt as if I was in an EM Forster novel or something! We had a lake-view room on the top floor (Room 6? Room 7?) with beautiful views over to Bellagio. Very nicely decorated with old style (or actually antique) furniture, and very spacious. Bathrooms were fine (slightly old fashioned... More

We stayed 2nights and really enjoyed not being in the busy touristy areas. The hotel is right across the road from the lake and has magnificent views of Bellagio and parking underneath. A Lovely Breakfast is served in a beautiful sunroom overlooking the lake. Less restaurants around but the ones we tried were good.we had dinner at the hotel and... More

A great place to base yourself outside the rat race of Como and the other major towns. Very close to ferries for all locations (including the car ferry). A bit light on for restaurant choices nearby but Paolo and his team will cater to your every requirement from a more than adequate continental breakfast (included) to pre-dinner Martini's & Negroni's...
