This place was the holiday place for 15 visits of Konrad Adenauer, the German chancellor from 1949 - 1963. its now owned by a German foundation and kept up with German federal monies, aas to gain some revenue, they decided two years ago to open to the public. Excellent location on Lake Como. Friendly and competent service. Good value. We stayed in a little apartment with two bedrooms -- this was much more spacious than most hotels. Only two drawbacks: - lack of air conditioning - the bells of the nearby church until midnight and from 6.30 am
