Although we only stayed one night whilst on our way to visit the Villa Balbienello we enjoyed the real Italian welcome from this small hotel right on the lake front. We were given a family room on the side of the hotel, which was large and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also a good size with an excellent shower. Hotel... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as our friends were getting married at Villa Carlotta. We had travelled by van with 2 toddlers. The reception, we found to be very friendly, however we had some other friends staying here to who arrived the day before and had a very different experience! We found here and everywhere we went our kids... More

-Very good pricing -Rooms were clean and simple -Staff was very friendly and accommodating Overall, I highly recommend the hotel. Even with special requests, they went out of their way to help and ensure my stay was smooth and enjoyable. The staff were very pleasant and spoke English.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location on the lake is perfect. The rooms are old and tired. We found the staff to be polite but not friendly. The rooms are overpriced but it seems normal in these locations. The breakfast was very good. The restaurant was ok but had to wait one hour for service because they were... More

This is the second year in a row I have stayed here. The staff are lovely, especially Guilio, who runs the Reception, who could not have been more helpful. The triple room facing the lake is by far the outstanding room for space and views and well worth paying a little extra for, the other rooms yes are small, with... More

Great location and extremely friendly service, shame about the bathroom. Located on the water with a great lakeside eating area, charming staff and a traditionally built Italian building which is let down by their extremely small and old fashioned, squeezed into your room bathroom!

We ate lunch twice at this restaurant as we had such a good lunch the first time. There is a terrace on the water, a courtyard and a proper dining room area giving plenty of choices of where to sit. Their marinated salmon with their home made foccacia is delicious as is the ricotta bad spinach crepe which my daughter... More

Very much enjoyed my recent stay at the hotel. The staff were lovely, helpful and had a good laugh with us. The best beer I've had before - pint of flensburger goes down well! Our room was spacious and had a great view. The room my parents had was slightly cramped (especially the toilet) but was still okay. I'd recommend... More

I can not recommend this hotel. This is unfortunate because there are a number of positives. The staff are very nice and friendly, the location is excellent (although there was a lot of noise at night) and the restaurant is very good (and recommended). However, our room was very small and the bathroom (more like a cubicle) was horrible. Overall,... More

Only ate here! We were a group of 7 who dropped into the restaurant at The Hotel Azalea just to have a quick lunch. They were totally accommodating, immediately moved tables together and made us feel welcome. Our quick lunch tuned into a long leisurely lunch as we liked it there so much. The food was excellent, unpretentious but delicious... More
