My partner and I did a European trip which we ended off in the Amalfi coast. We decided to end our trip at the saraceno. I will started with the pros which resulted in giving the hotel even those 3 stars they hardly earned. The hotel does have history. There is a beautiful private beach. Most of the staff are... More

After traveling with friends and family to Rome and Tuscany we ended our Italian adventure on the Amalfi coast at the ll Saraceno Grand Hotel. The place is breath taking! The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is first rate. The hotel is located just outside the romantic town of Amalfi and they offer a free shuttle into... More

We have just had a week here and loved it so much we plan to return later this year. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff. The grandeur and history of the setting can't be beaten and the ease of boats to the nearby beach restaurants is great. There are a lot of stairs,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Il Saraceno Grande in Amalfi. The location is breathtaking - a medieval castle on the side of a cliff face with a huge cave over looking the hotel from above, truly amazing! Also the hotel is situated about a 10 minute drive (provided by the hotel shuttle bus) to Amalfi and not much... More

The whole Amalfi area is breathtaking. Once you get over the fear of dying in a taxi, the views are breathtaking. This hotel was carved out of the mountain and is huge! Every corner was a picture taking opportunity. Pool is ok, beach is nice, plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Private beach and accessible by the elevator cut into the... More

We were a family of 6, visiting this exotic hotel made on a cliff along the jade blue waters of Mediterranean. We were putting up in the spacious rooms with sea facing balconies, jacuzzi in the bath and all other star amenities (Except for a Kettle). The property is amazing located around 4 Kms from Amalfi City Center (Though there... More

On arrival at this most incredible ancient arab fortress, we were received with such a warm welcome from Raymondo & Guiseppe. Although ancient, this incredible building has all the modern amenities one has come to expect with a modern luxury hotel whilst still maintaining it's original charm of an era gone by. The spectacular panoramic views of the Amalfi coast... More

The Saraceno Hotel is the place to be visiting the Amalfi coast. The people are very friendly, and helpful. Food is fabulous and the drinks are great. Shuttle into town and easy access to tours and restaurants and shopping. Take a boat trip to Cabri and go to the Blue grotto and the green grotto.
