When our original reservation didn't work out at another hotel, we stopped here randomly, just hoping it would be decent enough to stay one night. When we checked in, got to our room and explored the grounds, we decided we were staying another 2 nights! The views from our room were breathtaking, the entire place has so much character and... Don't be fooled by the negative reviews. We booked this hotel through Hotwire and were initially freaked out when we learned where we were staying...but boy was this terrific. Of the 5 hotels we stayed at during our honeymoon, this was in the top 2 (the other was in Positano, and cost over twice as much). Rooms are spacious, clean,... More

Poor breakfast, no fruits , lack of tasty food, low quality of accessories in the rooms, plastic all over you look, plastic hangers, plastic garbage can, unfriendly employees. Very high rate versus the quality of the service! I definitely not recommend this hotel !

We came to the Saraceno from a boring corporate hotel in Sorrento so the contrast was amazing! Not only were we greeted as if we were the only guests but we were shown to our room personally by the receptionist and, having booked a junior suite, our mouths opened as we walked into it! Not just a circular bed (which... More

We are lucky enough to stay in 4 or 5* hotels, coming to Italy for the first time, our expectations were high! The location is stunning but we feel the hotel is resting on its 5* rating for every thing else. The beach staff were abrupt, instructed us to sit where they suggested rather than where we wanted! The food... More

We really enjoyed our three day stay and wished it could have been longer. The setting is wonderful and it has a good beach which is rare round Amalfi. The place is a little quirky but in a very good way and the room we had, 202 or Pasha was a junior suite with big circular bed and a jacuzzi... More

In the heart of the Amalfi coast, on the cliff, with private beach, room with amaizig sea view - exceptional. Which I could not say for the structure of the building that is desperately asking for restructuring, the small of the humidity and awesome corridors. The staff was antiquated.

Rich in history, spectacular views, fantastic room and beautiful private beach make this a wonderful place to spoil yourself. We only spent one night here but have vowed to return for a longer visit. Our room was beautifully maintained, spacious and what a view. The hotel was originally a Saracen castle from about 300ad and this adds history and intrigue... More

In light of the reviews below, I was hesitating to book this hotel, but couldn't have been happier with the choice. The hotel is unique in its structure being an old fortress built into the cliff with a private beach which is rare on the Amalfi coast. The property itself is large with rooms and restaurants on different levels of... More

Well.. As I said - it's special. If you are looking for something unusual - go for it, but for a couple of days only. It's a hotel with perfect sea view on the cliff. Private beach and swimming pool. The private beach is something rare at the Amalfi coast - and they do have one (not a platform, but... More
