We decided to choose Sylvia Hotel especially because of the prices. For somebody who arrives in Rhodes by ferry, the hotel is convenient located: if you are not very tired and if you have a good orientation, you may find it by yourself – anyway, some details from locals are more than welcomed! The surroundings might look a little bit... More

If I had not paid for seven nights in advance I would have left after two nights. I had paid for a room and a brekfest buffee. The room was .o.k. for the price, the breakfest buffee was not because there was no breakfest buffee at all. I was given a kind of a lousy greek breakfest. It was not... More

Visited in mid October. Had an excellent experience. The rooms are simple, nothing to shout about. They are very well kept and the hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff were fantastic. Engaging bar man who gave us a free drink on most evenings and very nice receptionist who recommended several restaurants to us, all of which were fabulous

We visited at the end of April so although it was very quiet in Rhodes Town, we found that this hotel was very friendly and welcoming. It is a family run establishment and the staff/family really cannot do enough to make sure you have a great stay. It's only 5 minutes walk from the walls of the Old Town and... More

We stayed in Sylvia hotel for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are small and basic but what more do you expect for a cheap holiday! Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere, including to Elli beach most days, as well as the Old town. Only negatives would be the wifi... More

Stayed 31/08-05/09 Moved to this hotel after a week in 4* hotel and were sad we did not book Sylvia for two weeks. 5 min walk from a very clean and nice public beach, 5 min from the Old Town. Mini market and restaurants 10 min walk. The staff is very friendly and nice, got many helpful suggestions from them... More

I spent a week here, and was such a lovely visit! The breakfast buffet is wonderful, and the staff are always friendly and helpful with suggestions. The rooms are tiny but clean and comfortable, and the location is fantastic, right near the Old City.
