We have been to Rhodes many times but this is was our first visit to the Lydia, some of the rooms have been renovated unfortunately not ours but it was really ok. If you have never stayed in a small Greek Hotel before you may have a problem with small bathroom & not enough sockets but we were fine. Towels... more

We'd toured Greece continually for six months and this was to be the final leg before moving onto to Turkey. Luckily we had saved the best for last; both the town (Rhodes) and the hotel (although the Piraeus Dream was also a good stay). Super staff, with both young girls speaking great English and helping us with questions and suggestions.... more

I first stayed here in 2005 in a triple room (mediocre at the time, but good enough), and rebooked in July this year, given the 75 euro cost for a double, and the promise on one website that the rooms had all been renovated. Reality check on arrival was a dirty, musty room. Fridge was rusty, floor was green, circa... more

Nice hotel at great location! Few tips: - the breakfast is limited in quantity, so get earlier in order to have better choice; - in the evening hours if you do not know Greek no way to communicate with the receptionists. more

I really liked the hotel for being a good, clean, adequate sized place in a good location for such a low price. I stayed in a double twin bed room and the size was perfect for two. It was quite bigger than expected. We had a balcony that overlooked the back patio and garden which was quiet in terms of... more

We chose this hotel after looking at various high-end to budget options in the Old Town and across from the beach. The hotel location is great for shopping in Rhodes and is a close walk to the Old Town, beach and ferry terminal. Unfortunately parking was a challenge given the new city rules in place (you need to feed a... more

Outstanding staff, outstanding room, great A/C, great TV, great balcony...no disappointments at all. Even the mini-bar was cheap. I will absolutely stay there again. more

Good location in the new town short walk to the port or bus station or Old town, but noisy, the Budha bar one side and McDs the otherside. Rooms have obviously been recently refurbished and are perfectly adequate for a C class hotel. Double glazing helps reduce the noise. The lobby/bar/terrace area was quite comfortable for that class of hotel. more

Having stayed in scores of inexpensive hotels in Greece over the years, the Lydia proved to be a pleasant surprise. Over the course of a few days we stayed in two different triple rooms (50 Euros per night) on the first floor which had recently been remodeled. Clean rooms, good shower, extra pillows, friendly staff. The breakfast was adequate, though... more

I stayed at this hotel last week as part of a holiday with with Voyages Jules Verne. I was very dissapointed with this hotel. Whist YJV described it as simple and in a pedestrian street, this did not fully inform us of what we would experience. Our room (313) had very dirty carpets (also dirty carpets in the hall ways),... more
