A fabulous and historical place, a fabulous restaurant, a fabulous hostess, an efficient husband, an oriental dream in a romantic garden. This hotel is much much more than it seems. Thank you ! more

We just returned from a two week stay in Greece and the Marco Polo Mansion was an exceptional hotel. The proprietors, Efi and Spiros, took great pains to make all their guests comfortable and welcome. The rooms were spacious, the decor eye-catching. Efi even took it upon herself to contact Olympic Airlines when our flight was cancelled. The restaurant was... more

From the moment you step out of the cobbled laneway and into its quaint garden of lemon and orange trees, Marco Polo Mansion promises a warm and friendly stay. Owners Efi and Spiros Dede have lovingly refurbished this former Turkish mansion into a homely Mediterranean villa. The walls are awash with earthy tones of yellows, blues and reds, and the... more

I didn't stay here but had found the website and liked the look of it. We went to see the Marco Polo last week, hoping to see a room for maybe another stay in Rhodes. What we did do though was eat in the restaurant. I wasn't sure what to expect as the small garden was very secluded and there... more

From the moment we arrived at the Marco Polo we were enchanted by it. This is our second week-long stay at the Marco Polo with Efi and Spiro, who are most charming and helpful hosts. This year we were accompanied by two friends who loved the place as much as we did. The rooms are colourful, not to say exotic,... more

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Marco Polo Mansion and it was fantastic. The building is atmospheric, the rooms are beautiful, the garden was lovely and the in house food was so good that we stopped going out to anywhere else after the first meal. The location in the old part of Rhodes town is... more

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2006 with my parents. This hotel is absolutely charming. The decor is stunning ambience very relaxing. My parents' room had an old Turkish hamam. All the rooms located in the main house were wonderful, but I did not have a chance to see the garden rooms. The hotel is... more

For someone to speak badly of the Marco Polo is for them to have missed out on the point and the spirit of the hotel. If you are looking for satellite tv, room service and the smell of disinfectant, this is not the hotel for you. If however you are looking for a place to stay that is totally individual,... more

My husband and I stayed in one of their garden rooms, and we were quite disappointed. The room was small, dark and not very clean. There were spiders and spider webs and the room was very dusty in general. We stayed there for three nights and they never changed our bed sheets and we had to ask for clean towels... more
