Lovely hotel, we arrived in Rhodes in the morning on the Santorini ferry. We had detailed instructions from the hotel's owner, Brigitte, on how to get there - @20 mins walk. We had a lovely room with a queen bed and a small single. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is inside the old city and we walked everywhere... More

Cava d' Oro is a hotel within a very old historic building-moderized and comfortable with grace and charm. Located within walking distance of all the activity, but not too close to it. Lovely breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. The Proprietors are fantastically pleasant and accommodating. We were a group of 3 couples sailing thru the Dodecanese and all of us... More

The hotel was clean and beautiful! The woman who runs and owns it was very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast spread was diverse and satisfying. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. It is also very nicely located. Within walking distance of many sites, cafés and shops.

Quiet and convenient, just steps from the old town of Rhodes and close to the Port. Breakfast in the leafy courtyard was delicious with lashings of hot coffee but the most outstanding feature was excellent guest relations. Nothing was too much trouble for Birgid and Alexia-from recommending a local taverna, to confirming ongoing bookings or retrieving lost property-all done with... More

We spent several nights at Cava d'Oro and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel is located in a historic building which Brigid and her husband renovated. They have done an excellent job. All too often old buildings that have been turned into hotels are dark and dank. Not the Cava d'Oro. The rooms are modern and comfortable but beautifully... More

Had trouble finding this place, but it is in a quiet area of the old Town near a few nice traditional Tavernas. Room was on the ground floor & it was very clean & pleasant, no views. Very nice modern bathroom with toiletries. Breakfast was buffet style & was good. Very close to port for our onward morning trip to... More

Good room, fast internet, great breakfast in the courtyard just next to our room. Located within the old city of Rhodes so walking distance to all the attractions. Brigid was very helpful with all of our questions, and made us feel very welcome

Stayed twice (Sept 2014). Location ideal - access to front door possible by taxi, which is definitely not the norm. Brigid and her staff very helpful re hotel facilities, making other arrangements - eg taxis, rental cars, and general info re Rhodes. Hotel is in a very 'local / original' part of Old Town - just step outside door and... More

On 24 March 2014 I booked two double rooms for two nights and two double rooms for 1 night, a week later. These bookings were for September and all were confirmed by the hotel. 13 days before we arrived a received an email saying 'your booking for the 20th September has been cancelled'. No reason or explanation. The only saving... More

This charming, characterful little hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the tourist port and 5 minutes from the hectic Hippocratus Square in the old town and yet is a peaceful oasis. it was even better this year as the bathroom had been tastefully upgraded. Birgid, the owner, takes a keen personal interest in her guests and this shows. Needless... More
