This is a great Owner-run Family Hotel with dedicated staff, Clean and tidy with spacious rooms overlooking pool area. Nicely situated in quiet area about 15 minuite walk to Faliraki centre. There is a good sized lounge area with WiFi adjacent to optional Dining / Restaurant area

Hotel and rooms need some renovations, but for the price (low season) it was very nice vacation. First of all - if you will have sea view (we didnt ask for it), it is fabulous. Faliraki beach (700 metres from Matina) is not so good like many others on Rhodes, there are a little but rude greek people, who try... More

Hello everyone. When me and my friend were looking for a hotel to book all we wanted is a hotel close to Faliraki, but it turned we've got the best one. First of all nearly all the people who work there and who own the hotel are extremely nice and helpful. The views around the hotel are natural, nothing annoys... More

There is a saying : You get what you pay for...well here you can expect a lot less but you get a lot more...depending on what you expect of course. We expected a place where you are warm welcomed and have desent place to sleep, because we do not spent a lot of time in the hotel. And we got that.A lot... My partner and I stayed at Matina for two weeks at the end of July. We didn't choose to stay at this hotel, but after a cock up on the part of our travel agent last minute which we are awaiting compensation this is where we ended up. This was our second visit to Rhodes, last year staying at Moscha... More

We stayed for 10 days at the end of August. (3 travelers) This is my 3rd time in Rhodes all 3 times have opted for basic 2-3 * accommodation; this is the first time I have trully disapointment in the accomodation. Problems checking in; given a tiny room at the back of hotel with views of dirt roads and rubbish... More

This was our second visit to the Matina but were a little concerned as we had heard that the ownership had changed. We need not have worried as the new team were excellent and very hospitable. All of the staff have changed other than the gardener, and many were students working there for the summer, so its likely next year... More

We stayed in the hotel for two weeks early in June 2013. We had half board included. I strongly recommend this hotel if you are going to rent a car or in the good form and mood to walk for 20-30 mins one side to the beach or city center. When you read this review, please remember that Matina is... More

I would describe the hotel as pure squalor. We ended up having to stay there for a whole 2 weeks. Upon arrival we were also told the hotel was over booked and whether we wanted to move to the Koala hotel which from reviews seems a lot worse. Therefore the first impressions were already hitting a low. Once we refused... More
