When we arrived we wasn't on the list so they send us to another hotel for one night. In the morning they come to pick us up and had breakfast and we got free air con for the rest of our holiday so it wasn't so bad. Breakfast was fine so as the dinner :-) polite staff. Not far from... More

The "oh no" expression on the receptionist face when were arrived was priceless ! No rooms available hotel heavily overbooked. Shipped off to the hotel staffs living quarters at the seventos by a man in a car. A choice to stay there with free air con, breakfast and dinner at matina, or fight for a room at the matina. Holidaymakers... More

My family (2 adults and kid) get our leisure where in early summer of 2013 and that should we tell to you?... Even we still doesn't know.. Well.. At 1) Daily feeding was rather scanty. Imagine! where were only boiled eaggs, bread, flakes with milk, ordinary cheese, juice (like yuppi not sheer) and tea for breakfast! And that was just... More

Once we got to the hotel reception it took at least ten minutes for someone to greet us and check us in. We were then told that we had been moved to the apartments and to get into a car with a random man who would take us there. Which for three girls on their first holiday without our parents... More

Got back last night after travelling with two friends. Stayed for a week. Arrive at the hotel after a long journey (which is in the middle of nowhere) to be told that our names were not on the list! Then transferred to another apartment about 15 mins away and told we could still eat breakfast at the Matina. Not exactly... More

Pro's - Has aircon in rooms (€6/night), standard-ish rooms, polite staff Cons - Far walk from town and the beach especially in the blazing heat, dirty rooms, lack of kitchen equipment for self catering, wifi only downstairs in loby, had to ask multiple times to get sheets changed, **they overbook the hotel** so there is a chance that upon arrival... Our second visit to a very different Matina Hotel. Different management who seem not to have full knowledge of how to run a hotel, we arrived late at night to be greeted by young receptionist, we were given a room (No 7) on the ground floor looking out to a very sparse garden area, this room had an undesirable smell... We stayed two nights in this hotel as our pre booked hotel was full !! Our room overlooking the surrounding scrub land was ok. The very necessary A/C is 6 euros per night extra. Unless you can cope with 32 degrees (late June) the long walk to the beach or town makes it a good idea to hire a car... More
