As a former hotel employee, I have a sweet spot for hotels and their employees. This place however is just bad business. On the most famous Greek island, in one of the nicest areas if you have a family and want to be close to a beach, the owners decided to go for a quick profit instead of investing some and make more! Had I seen the reviews earlier I wouldn’t have stayed there. Panagiotis at the reception was the only highlight. He really tried to please us and gave us a newer room, was attentive and courteous. The rest as described by the rest reviewers. Old furniture, prob bought from another hotel during renovations, no matching decorations, old worn bed covers and the room not so clean. Also is misrepresented on several sites. It’s not 0.3 miles from the beach and it’s not a 4-key place. (Rating for traditional establishments) We were there for two days and didn’t make any trouble, but the money they’re asking doesn’t represent what they offer. 3 stars for Panagiotis and his efforts only.

Ended my stay here after great accommodations all across Greece. Went with a tour group and it was either of 2 hotels in Santorini. Unfortunately, we got this hotel at the end which dampened my experience. The rooms are a bit dated and smell of paint and dusty. The walk ways aren’t very safe in the back as pitch black and it’s like the dessert in that part of town. The worst part of my room was the bathroom. Which the pictures below show you how awful this hotel is. The hotel is about .35 of a mile from the black beach. The breakfast is a joke some bread and fruit. The internet is spotty and constantly went in and out. Just an all around bad experience! Again, do your research and pay a little more for a better hotel and accommodations!

I wish I could give a-1 star review because it doesn’t even deserve a 1! Firstly we were conned into staying here by some crazy lady, as we were already frazzled after having our accomodation cancelled at the last minute my partner said yes! The room itself isn’t bad, the decor looks like someone was on a severe acid trip when they painted it. From the very start stuff seemed very dodgy, so firstly we had to pay cash , we got a free taxi ride (this does not ever happen in Greece)! Where verything went hovrribly wrong was, we had quickly ducked back so I could go to the toilet before catching the bus that was running late, so off I hurried when I came back my partner waswaiting in the pool area I said is the bus here yet and he replied no, little did I know one of the staff was behind the closed bar- I’m assuming she overheard that we would be gone for the day - anyway we went and caught up with family at the other end of Santorini and we were gone for a good 5 hours. Upon returning we had new towels dropped in our room, but the old ones weren’t taken 🧐 and they were sitting just inside the door, didn’t really think that much of it until later! I had Adam nap, my partner woke me up to go get dinner so I went into my bag looking for my jeans and they were no where to be found, the. I oulled everything out and more stuff was missing. In total$300 worth of my stuff was missing out of my zipped up bag and my packed toiletries bag! As we had to stay another night my partner didn’t want me to confront them so I would leave it to the morning when we checked out of this hell hole. So upon checking out I wanted to talk to someone about it, do you think for the life of me I could find anyone in the whole complex— NO! 🚫 Any way a week later we had to catch a ferry back to the main island and low and behold the crazy lady was down there trying to scam some other tourists with my bloody clothes on- I was beyond angry and wanted to set her on fire. Because obviously people that travel don’t work for what the have and the luxuries they decide to have in life. 😡 please do yourself a favour and do not stay here! This place also goes as seaside hotel, and like 4 other names so please make sure you do your review research. We couldn’t access internet when we were originally harassed by the crazy lady “katia” “sissy” “katerina” she goes by all these names!

Please do not book this place, we were moved there after a mess up, it certainly is not self catering as there are no proper items to self cater i.e no kettle, cooker, toaster, microwave all can be provided at extra cost even pillows had a charge!!!!! bed linen was filthy, towels thread bare and I was charged 3 euros for a cup of Necafe as coffee machine was out of order that came with an extra serving of "Maggot" the place is disgusting!!!!!!! needs to be shut down

The staff are SO unfriendly and could do with an attitude adjustment. Steve (the owners son, tall and skinny) unhappily checked us into the hotel (we paid extra for a double bed, sea view and balcony) when we arrived at our apartment number it was a ground floor room with no balcony or window but it had a double bed, I explained to Steve that this isn't what we paid for and he just mumbled that if we want a double bed this is the room!! Not happy as you want a nice view/balcony on holiday to look out onto when your on holiday this room felt like a prison cell. He offered us another room which had a balcony with SINGLE beds but no sea view (I didn't care), I couldn't be bothered dealing with Steve so I just left it. after day 1 the room had ants everywhere and we found cockroaches on the balcony. The room was just so dirty it has loads of dust everywhere and felt so grimy. Me and my Husband showered with our flipflops as there was clumps of hair attached to the shower mat which was not ours!!! The list is just too long!!! The pool was green for nearly 2 days so we avoided it, the towels are years old. Worse hotel I have ever stayed in, will be sticking to AirBnB

Very unfriendly and no hospitality at this Hotel. On picture the building looks nice but rooms and service does not work. On top of this every small thing they charge extra for, like air condition, they even tried to charge for a free tourist map. Stay away.

The room ambient very old, horrible wall paintings, no clean service, ancestral towels, ants everywhere, bugs, 2 cm of dust and sand inside balcony, bathroom is half meter below the room floor, no wi-fi connection, and the list is too long. I booked this room through Booking.com and I requested sea view and the receptionist gave me a storage room or something, without any window. After negotiations I received a room with quarter sea view and I decided to stay into the same room with my little daughter for safety reasons even initially I booked 2 separately rooms. Oh my God... one of the worst experience ever.

After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous to stay here, but we had an awesome stay. When we arrived the owner was happily waiting and showed us to our room (at 8am she let us check in). The room was #51 and had a sea view. The balcony and room itself was quite nice. The bathroom wasn't great but it wasn't dirty or anything. All the taps had salt water which we found quite strange. The pool area was awesome, and the owner even brought us out lemon squares while we were swimming. Main downside was that the wifi was only working outside the reception area (wifi was showing up in our room with a strong signal but just wouldn't work). There was a small kitchen area with a sink and fridge but no cutlery, plates or anything. No dish towels either. There were a few random cups in the cupboard. The area was quite nice, 5 minute walk to Mayo beach (I think?) It's the far end of Perissa beach and was a black sand beach. Also close to a decent sized market and the bus stop to get to Oia and Fira. There are quite a few food places along the beach close to the hotel. Also, for our entire stay, we couldn't find any staff and the reception was closed the whole time. Plus, when we did find the owner, she didn't speak much english, but definitely enough to get your point across. But if you're wanting a place with lots of advice or help from staff, you definitely won't get it here. But there is a tourist office not far and they book ferries and shuttles and taxis for you.

We have just returned from two weeks at Sandy Villas. First of don't forget what you have booked, a basic Greek, cheap holiday. We arrived and found Sandy very pleasant, not a hard sell business woman, and were shown to our rooms. The offer of water was appreciated, and yes it was dearer than down the supermarket but it was great for when you arrived. After this first lot we brought our own water. The room was better than I thought (after reading the reviews) we stayed in room 8. It was cleaned very day apart from Sundays. We had a couple of issues with our room, and as soon as we reported the issues they were dealt with. The Greek night at the villas was a good night, and you get to know other guests. There are a few small things that would improve the accommodation, and yes some of the towels are a bit old but they were all clean. Provisions in rooms are basic, we took out own travel kettle with us and part from breakfast we didn't eat in room. Wifi worked around the pool most of the time. I would go back and stay at Sandy Villas if I returned to Santorini Santorini is lovely. Highly recommend Dorians just down the road for drinks and snacks. Great people, so happy and friendly and very reasonable prices.
