Hard to do such a wonderful location justice. Our room was on the edge of the caldera. Amazing view. The room itself was beautifully decorated and you didn't have to get out of bed to see the volcano. We enjoyed the walk each night to the wonderful cafes and restaurants. We would love to go back to such a wonderful... More

We loved staying at this hotel. It was one of the best we stayed at in 3 weeks in Greece. The views are outstanding. The pool is small but adequate, we loved lying on the loungers looking out across the caldera. Breakfast was varied with very helpful staff. We stayed in a spacious cave room. We would definitely stay here... More

Hotel which isn't hotel. Being published as 4 stars but really is a 2 stars hotel. They call themselves "Ira hotel and spa" but there is no spa... They have a small steam room and that is all... Would you believe that hotel will cheat the tourists like this? Dining room in a room like a cave... No cafeteria... Room... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Ira Hotel through Medhill Travel. There were 4 of us occupying 3 rooms, all caldera view. We each had our own patio with view which led onto the pool patio. Not only was the property well situated and beautiful it was always immaculate and the people who work there will do anything for... More

During our visit to Santorini, Greece, my family and I stayed at Hotel Ira. The hotel is perfectly situated away from the crowds, but in the city. The view from the hotel is simply amazing. The volcano island in the front, and a deep fall to the waters. The sunset view is just fantastic. The room was very spacious. The... More

After months of research before booking, I'm delighted to be able to write that we enjoyed a wonderful seven-night stay at Hotel Ira to celebrate our wedding anniversary last month. Do not be fooled by the hotel's two-star rating - it fully deserves a five-star review. Location - Ira is located in the peaceful town of Firostefani which keeps you... More

I see that I'm in the minority here, but I was just not thrilled with Hotel Ira. We stayed in a cave room that was dark and located right next to the reception/entrance. Because of that, we could hear everyone who came in or out, at all times during the night. We had no view of anything except a wall... More

Three-night stay in late September was outstanding. Unlike most reviews, my wife and I was in one of the Cave suites, which was great. This hotel is just a few minutes away from the crowds in Fira, offers great views of the Caldera from multiple levels, and offers a fine breakfast. If you have a late departure, you can store... We spent 4 nights at Ira and could not have been happier. The whole place is super clean, large rooms (we stayed in the Estia room), good wash room facilities, better than average breakfast and great staff. There is a lunge, pool area and observation deck that all overlook the caldera. Walkable to Fira proper and Imerovigli with great views... More
