The previous review describes this place well. The hotel is fine. The hotel was aesthetically more pleasing from the outside than within with relation to the room we stayed in (115, by the 3rd pool). It is well placed in the town of Platanias. We went on a 'restplass' deal (with startour) paying around 5000nok, for 2, (flights hotel etc) and to be honest I would not want to pay anymore. We were on a tight budget as we had booked flights to NYC for a week at Christmas the same month, so we were not expecting too much.

If you are in search of an exclusive 'special' holiday then this is not the place (Platanias). What you will get is a Scandinavian packed typical charter holiday, but what else are you expecting when you come to Crete to be honest. I'm sure this would be great fun for the family but as for couples I'm not so sure.

Also, I did find Crete to be fairly expensive (not helped by the week pound against the euro), especially if you plan on going on... more
