Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks from 23rd June and was VERY disappointed!! The Thomson online details about this hotel I beleive are very misleading and we were horrified to see our room once we got to the hotel (in the hotel's "old" building and not the new nice one! We arrived and had to wait with 2 young... more

The minoa palace could be updated, and its staff could be trained in customer service relations. The location is perfect, and you can easily get to any pool or the ocean. However, don't expect to get pampered or even offered a drink. It won't happen. The staff actually seems incredibly irritated if you ask a question. As long as you... more

Overall we had an enjoyable stay here except there was no atmosphere after dinner in the hotel and Platanias is just one long street of bars (with no music, not any), tatt -shops, pushey restaurant touts and car hire outlets. The hotel is clean, modern and spacious. The main pool area's are good but I would'nt waste your money on... more

After reading all the reviews I expected to find a 5 star hotel from all the aspects but only the room had 5*. I will mention all the bad aspects: - the variety of the menu (breakfast and dinner) was very poor; the refill of the plates was made very rarely and only if you would ask for it -... more

As almost all the reviews have stated, it's hard to fault this very good hotel. Booking in was instant and our luggage arrived at our room about 15 mins later. Room pretty spacious, well appointed clean modern and almost "cool" in it's feel . I have read of some complaints regading the shower curtain, having stayed in about 12 different... more

Great location on the outer edge of Platanias town which has many restaurants, bars, and shops. The hotel was very nice, although spread out. Definitely stay on the new wing which on the beach side as they have a large nice pool and also can walk out on the beach. Room was up to date, clean, and spacey. A "sea... more

This was one of those "sharp intake of breath" moments - Our first visit to Crete and we were lucky enough to pick this place. Me and the missus stayed in 627 which is a 'garden room' sort of out the back of the main building. We instantly tested the staff - the on-line booking system we used didn't realise... more

The Hotel Minoa Palace in Platanias, Crete has to be rated as one of the better hotels that I have stayed in. In terms of value for your money it was very good! As said before the hotel was split into two seperate halves by the main road which was busy at times. There is a footbridge that spans the... more

This was my second trip to Crete but it was my step sisters, my dads and his fiancee's first time and they really wanted to go somewhere great! The hotel we wanted, we couldnt get so ended up staying in minoa palace. It was the BEST decision ever made. When we arrived there, it seriously did look like a palace...even... more

Just returned from a weeks stay at the Minoa Palace. We booked a sea view room expecting it to be in the main building, but on arrival found that we were upgraded to the new wing next to the beach, so we were pleasantly surprised. This part of the Hotel officially opened at the end of August and has all... more
