Auron itself was amazing, loved the town and skiing. However, the accommodation in Aiglons was average, nothing special. The website said it was 500m from the ski lift but it was more like a kilometer. We arrived and had to fill out a long inventory. Not everything on the list was in the apartment. For a 4-person apartment, we expected one double bed and a bunk, but there was a sofa bed with a pull-out bed so it was not possible to make a double bed from this, which was disappointing. It was tiny for four people. We were left with no hot water the first night, which was devastating after being out in -15 degrees all day skiing! Neither did they explain the heating system or have heating on for us when we arrived. The reception was not always open when it said it should be. The reception was not helpful even when it was open. We had to take the rubbish out and clean everything, including mopping the floor, before we left, or else there would have been a cleaning bill!!! more
