The hotel is a bit hidden when we arrived, we couldn't see the entrance as it is an old small building. The garden is very different, wild and green, a small creek is flowing and the path is covered with peach kennels. Our room, a hut, is almost covered with woodsticks and plants. It is a big window with a... More

We last ate here 17 years ago, so things have changed. We now had the option to stay which we could not previously. The rooms are pleasant and functional. We had a court yard room. We ate at the hotel for the first night. A fantastic dining experience with excellent service. There was a good selection of wine and a... More

I question it's prices for what we received, especially in the standard of our room. We had one of the court yard rooms which was spacious but it would appear housekeeping were not on their A game the morning of our visit, lights not working, no bins, TV not working, bath plug not working, simple things that for the price... We spent a night there on 28 August. We were entranced. The auberge is in a delightful village: the building itself (apart from the new dining room) is wonderfully antique. The menu was out of this world. We had the nine (not the eleven course) meal with accompanying wines. It was wonderfully inventive and incredibly tasty(perfect green strawberries - yes),... More

I recommend experiencing this hotel and especially the restaurant. The Chef has a really original way of preparing and presenting his products. The "hutes" are nice but I recommend staying in the main building in a "regular" room (not experienced) if you have difficulties to walk. Overall this is a must do if you pass by especially for the Chef's... More

We stayed here one night only and had originally booked a hut in the garden. However, on arrival, the access was too difficult for my wife who is partly disabled. The floor of the huts is about 3 of 4 steps down, painted black, so hard to see and no handrail. Instead, some idiot put a rope you could hold... More

We were very excited to arrive at our hut - a bold design with huge floor to ceiling windows looking out on to a wild meadow. When you sit outside on the little terrace to the hut or leave the door to the hut open, the sound of birdsong is a joy! The owners have done really well to create... More

Very nice place in France, clean rooms, very calm. If you can combine with the restaurant, your stay is really a succes. There is an open kictchen and the restaurant has a well diserved Michelin star. You aso must visit the city of Montreuill.

Amazing place to stay right on the river and modern rooms and delicious food!! The only draw back was the rather dark bedroom as the walls were dark brown and lights poor so hard to read anything but the rest made up for it!

My partner booked us for a romantic dinner at la Grenouillere having read good reviews. We had the 11 course taster menu and the wines to go with it and it was worth every penny! Creativity reminiscent of the Fat Duck, all absolutely delicious especially the frogs legs. Best of all we stayed the night in the very comfortable room... More
