Having had an excellent meal and service at Le Patio the night before we were looking forward to this experience. On arrival we were shown to the garden for pre dinner drinks. We did not feel welcomed. Menus were supplied and there were a few courses I needed explaining in English. This did not go down well ,I was very... More

This hotel is a must for anyone visiting this region. Our room was just beautiful & the staff very welcoming. We will visit again in the warmer weather so that we will be able to enjoy the beautiful grounds and the charming town with so many individual shops.

We spent two very relaxing days at this lovely hotel, set in pretty grounds next to the towns ramparts, it delivers everything that is needed for "a week end break" We had a room with a balcony over looking the garden, beautiful room with a very good bathroom with bath and shower. We had two excellent dinners, served in the... More

We were a bit nervous about returning to Chateau Montreuil after a four year gap, particularly having read some recent reviews. We have previously visited there most years over the last 15 years and were returning with our great friends and their son (who was there when he was 2 but can't remember that trip). Thankfully, the whole stay lived... More

I suppose my wife and I must have visited Le Chateau about 100 times, we love it so much so we call it our French home .The Patrons Christian & Lindsey Germain are lovely people as are all the staff in the restaurant under the guidance of Jean Paul. The rooms are all very well furnished and comfortable and the... More

We stayed in one of the Courtyard cottages with our dog and were made very welcome. The cottages are clean and spacious and you will sleep like an angel facing the tranquil ramparts. Dinner was excellent, the dining room is large and you have all the privacy that you require since the tables are placed far enough from each other.... More

We went to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday with 2 other couples. The room was nice (number 3) but rather faded. The diner we had on the first night was average by any standard and hugely overpriced. I would go so far as to say "pretentious". 150 euros per couple before any drinks or coffee etc. We avoided the breakfast... More

For a few years we have been popping across to France in September & enroute to wherever we try to stop at this pretty chateau. The staff are always so welcoming. The rooms all have a different style and are so pretty and very comfortable, with free wifi! The restaurant never disappoints as the menu is always of a high... More

I travelled with my elderly mother and family members. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. It is close enough to Calais to be the first or last stop on a trip to France. We tend to stay in the garden rooms because there are few steps, which is easier for my mother. It is just a short... More

We had the good fortune to be upgraded (even though we were assured all rooms were of the same standard) Our room was in the gable roof up two short flights of stairs. an absolute delight, 4 gable windows giving aspects of all of the grounds, Clean and very well maintained. ( minor point of a totally un-necessary mat outside... More
