This is a really beautiful place to stay in an extremely picturesque area, but what made it truly special was the wonderful staff. When we checked in, they had planned to give us a room on the second floor. Since my wife wasn't happy with the two stairways, they upgraded us to a junior suite on the ground level. They... More

Le Vieux Logis is our idea of a piece of heaven: in the country, quaint, most interestingly and charmingly decorated, with wonderful food. And if you are there in spring, sharing a pastis on the terrace, you will see and hear the stream/river running through the garden. It is a quiet part of the Dordogne and there is not all... More

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and had a wonderful experience. We've stayed at several other Relais & Chateaux properties, and frankly, found about 1/2 of them to be overrated and snobby. Not this property - it was just the right mix of homey, cozy, welcoming, and fabulous food. The rooms were quiet, spacious, and well cleaned each... More

Returned after 4 years and the restaurant was every bit as good as I remembered it. The 49 euro lunch is an amazing bargain. The service was impeccable. Excellent creative food. And the garden setting on a warm October day was a little bit of Eden,

i have been visiting the restaurant of Le Vieux Logis for a number of year now. It never fails to be one of the highlights of our year. The lunch 'buffet' is utterly sublime, and amazing value at 49 euros pp. To label it a buffet is slightly misleading as a tasting menu is probably more accurate. From the house... More

We had the tapas (tasting) menu in the garden and it really lived up to our expectations. This is a very special place and would recommend it to a seasoned traveller that is not on a budget. The owner was present and came to introduce himself in the old style. If you really want a treat and can spent 70... More

I was lucky to stay at this lovely hotel for two nights as part of a Backroads bicycle trip. The hotel is charming and located on a beautiful property with stunning gardens and a pool. The Michelin star food was incredible, and the wine list was extensive with an impressive selection of local wines. The room was huge, elegant, and... More

Everything about our stay here was amazing. The location in the tiny village of Tremolat is beautiful, with extensive grounds, and peace and quiet. The staff was brilliantly friendly from the first moment we arrived, showing us the property, and giving us a beautiful room. When our (lost) luggage arrived, they celebrated almost as enthusiastically as we did. After having... More

I have eaten here on 3 occasions about 1 year apart each time. This place is always incredible! The scenery, the service and yeah the food- superb! I wished I lived nearby. It's innovative, it's well composed, it's....well, again superb. We had the tasting menu on Sunday and left totally saturated- the white truffle soup was to die for, the... More
