This place was sublime. Fantastic setting, superb service that was attentive but not beseeching. Best place we stayed in the Dordogne region. Also: very lovely place to dine. One of those places where, even though it's expensive, you feel like it's a deal.

The hotel is situated on a beautfiul property in a small village. (there is not much in the village other than a couple of restaurants - I would avoid the one owned by the hotel and choose the pizza place instead - better food and much nicer people). The hotel is well appointed, nice linens, bathroom amenities etc. We did... More

I often select relais and chateaux hotels as they usually get picture perfect locations. This hotel is exactly what you imagine a hotel to look like in the dordogne, with vine leaves covering the walls and the hotel built around a charming courtyard where you can have gastronomic lunches and dinners. I had a basic room which I found to... More

We went just for thier lunch and was really happy by the quality that was served. For the price it was a true bargain! Starting off with some champagne and got 3 small appetizers with this and the menu was about 7 courses. All greatly executed. Highly recommended.

Of course all hotels in this price bracket are welcoming with all the add ons you would expect but at Le Vieux Logis they are genuinely pleased to see you. They care that your room is clean and pleasantly decorated and that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. It is more like staying with friends than staying in a... More

Le Vieux Logis is a true oasis of calm nestled in a small friendly village close to the river. Our room was very comfortable, the bed and linen so inviting, the staff could not have been more helpful and of course the food was so special. Do not bother with choosing your own dishes, let the chef present you with... More

Tremolat is one of the most beautiful villages in the Dordogne and has been inhabited since the dawn of time. Tranquility and charm reign supreme and St Nicholas’s Church, with its extremely tall facade, and standing across the road from the placid village square – dates back to the 9th C. The present building, however, has largely been rebuilt on... More

My husband and I spent three nights at Le Vieux Logis recently and found the hotel and restaurants a delight. The small town of Tremolat is a "hidden gem" and the small shops and restaurants are well worth the visit. The hotel is defined by the outstanding staff that took care of every aspect our of visit, including transportation to... More

Really charming hotel with wonderful gardens and restaurant. A delightful open air space to enjoy the wine paired tasting menu par excellence...Staff could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. The area is beautiful and our four day stay was a treat. Definitely recommend if you are planning a trip to the Dordogne- I would stay again.

We have just spent a very enjoyable seven days at Le Vieux Logis. The reception team, particularly Estelle, were extremely friendly and helpful and the housekeeping was exceptional with the room being serviced several times per day. We had a refurbished room which was lovely but some of the other rooms may need a bit of an update. We had... More
