We have stayed several times now at La Salvetat, and always had a pleasant stay. This small family-run hotel is a joy to stay in. We usually ask for the same room each time.(Orchard) The food is amazing, all freshly prepared and cooked for each guest. English is spoken (not surprisingly since the owners, Ann and Steve are English). This... More

Thank you so much for your lovely comments about your stays at La Salvetat. We do have an exceptionally high number of returning clients who arrive originally as tourists and depart as friends! Steve and I pride ourselves on personal attention both ‘front of house’ and in the kitchen and we, together with our staff, are very happy that we... More

We were not here in the greatest of weather and it did all look a bit off season with chairs on the tables outside . I think they would have been better off removing them rather than it looking like a night club after the crowds had left. Room was very very plain rather dull in brown decor. Nothing special.... We stayed for five nights in Sept, my husband, myself and my elderly Mother. We stayed in the garden rooms which if I had to sum them up in a phrase would be "rustic charm at it's best" The rooms were very clean the beds were comfy and it was very quiet. We were made to feel really welcome by... More

Hello Flossie (and Jeremy) It was great to read your lovely comments following your recent stay with us at La Salvetat and we have passed them onto our team. Sorry about the waistline but really happy that Ann’s desserts hit the spot! The lemon mascarpone tart with Ann’s homemade pâte sucrée is always very popular and I think the Amaretti... More

Hello Carole We are so delighted that you appreciated your stay 'chez nous', our 600 year old Auberge, it's grounds, our food and hospitality. As regards your initial reaction upon arrival what can we say except that we had the same feeling when we saw it for the first time too - we fell in love with it there and... More

Quiet, off the beaten track in its elevated country setting, we found this to be in character with its rural location and a good place to stay. A bit rustic in style but the food wasn't - it was good, well presented and tasty and the service was right. We stayed for two nights in room 20 which, although even... More

Hello It was a pleasure to welcome you to our Auberge. Auberge de La Salvetat is 600 years old and the hotel is built around an ancient presbytery. We have tried to maintain the genuine features which we think add to the charm. However, behind the scenes everything is modern such as electrics, plumbing, heating and WiFi (which has the... More

This is a fantastic little auberge offering high quality food and service in a tranquil, typically French setting (well it has to be if it's in France). We stayed in the Orchard Rooms, ourselves in Room 9 whilst our friends stayed in Room 8. To call the rooms basic seems a little critical. They are comfortable, spotlessly clean (sheets and... More

Hello. We are so pleased you enjoyed your recent 7 day break with us at La Salvetat. Thank you for all your lovely comments. For Ann it is always particularly rewarding to get positive feedback on the food as inevitably in the season she ‘lives’ in the kitchen and doesn’t have as much time to chat to the clients as... 3k's outside Cadouin, this oasis of calm is located at the top of the hill ( cyclists - it is worth the effort!) a picture postcard setting and beautiful buildings, we loved the infinity pool with its vista onto swooping meadowland and forest beyond. Steve and his team were exceptionally friendly, nothing too much trouble... And the food.. wow!

Really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that it was worth the effort up the last hill on your bikes to reach La Salvetat! What a find! Sitting a 4 minute drive just outside the gorgeous village of Cadouin, you will find La Salvetat. My husband and I recently stayed here for 5 nights on a halfboard (demi-pension) basis. Dear Emma and Jason Delighted that you enjoyed your stay.
