Everything all the reviews say and more. It would have to be said to be minimalistic but look at the price. Just the place to relax and unwind. Gracious hosts and the sound of nature. It had all we needed and we left more at rest than when we got there!

I have to say that the location was spectacular, but the fact that the owners were not present put a slight twist on our stay here. From all of the descriptions, I thought we would have an easy time cooking our meals using the facilities as described in the gazebo. However, there was only a set of plastic plates and... More

The owners are great (American and Panamanian couple that both speak English and Spanish). They invited us to join them for their anniversary get together in their home with friends and family, guitar music, food and wine. While I was there, I got sick and Mireya made me some tea with herbs from the garden. They are well known and... More

We had 5 nights here. The rooms are basic but have everything you need: hot showers, fridge, comfortable beds, electric fan (tho the through flow between the windows was enough for us), hammock, free WiFi near the office (reasonable signal) outdoor dining table and a great sink and washing line at the back of each cabana. Coffee or tea each... More

loved loved loved staying here. this was our last main stop on a trip around Panama. El Valle is a gorgeous town. Cabanas Potosi were perfect. Hot water, comfy beds, fridge in room, reasonable price. Dennis and Mareya were wonderful hosts! They have so much history in the area that you really feel like you get to know El Valle... More

Several accommodations I have visited. Cabañas Potosi was not the Cheapest, but when I walked through the garden I knew: Here I'll stay! The cabanas are simple but practical. The mattresses are very comfortable, thanks to the cool nights you can sleep very well. There are only 4 cabanas! The singing of birds, the rustling of the trees, the view... More

We were for 2 days in El Valle and loved the town. We stayed in Cabanas Potosi and couldn't think of a better place to stay! Dennis was a perfect host, telling us the best places to hike and eat. And he sure knows what he's talking about! The cabana was Nice and big, the bed was perfect. We loved... More

The two nights that we spent here will be remembered as a highlight of Panama!! The Hosts were extremely welcoming and informative. Morning coffee was provided and the birds were fed so we got to see some beautiful ones fly in in addition to the three semi caged ones who live there.

The rooms are good. It has this motel like setup, where you put your car in front of the room. Cabana is a strange name for the place, since it's stone/ concrete buildings, with a little terrace with seats and a hammock. The garden looks like a park and has many flowers and the lady-owner can talk for hours about... More
