Set in beautiful informal gardens, this lovely lodge is reached via a red Japanese pedestrian bridge across a small river that runs through the grounds. Rooms are very spacious with everything you need to watch the wildlife that surrounds you. Food is great, service fantastic & the atmosphere is relaxed but with great attention to detail. Take advantage of the... More

I booked a 7-night stay at this incredible lodge, including daily birding tours. Everything; accommodations, food, staff, tours and guides were outstanding! I had Danilo (I called him Daniloito since he is Danilo's son) for my tour guide and he is outstanding. My most often comment to him was "how the heck did you find that!" I saw so much... More

In 2011 I visited Canopy Lodge with two friends. Trip Advisor does not go back that far, so I had to select 2014. It was terrific! It is a beautiful, elegant lodge, sparkling clean, with a bed I wish I could have brought home. The food is really home-cooked, delicious, and eaten outside under a roof. To my delight, there... We visited here after a week’s stay at the sister Lodge, Canopy Tower. Inevitably we made comparisons. This was a location in the hills, a much cooler temperature and set in extensive gardens. The general atmosphere was more relaxed and it was easy to imagine spending time here just chilling rather than exploring the local wildlife for there was plenty... More

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful trip at Canopy Lodge from 3/14-21. We could not have picked a better place for our first birding trip to Panama. Elba did a great job with our reservation and arranging our transfer from Panama City. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and shown around by Tino and settled in.... More

My husband and I enjoyed a full week at the Lodge in early March, together with daily birding to regional areas. We would return in a minute! The lodge is set in a beautiful location along a stream where we were fortunate to see the elusive Sunbittern one morning as well as seeing other interesting birds on the grounds of... More

This is a small lodge - 8 rooms - 16 guests. The bird guides are local, amazing, talented. Bird whisperers actually. They make their own bird calls and seem to know exactly where the hard to find the birds and also about their habits. They are patient, enthusiastic and speak English well. The lodge is lovely with ample rooms, a... More

After a lovely drive from the Canopy Tower, we arrived for our week at Canopy Lodge. Beautiful grounds. Loved the deck and bird feeders! We could easily eat the great food for the rest of our lives. It's our kind of food. Wish we could obtain this fresh fruit in Nova Scotia. Danilo was our wonderful guide for the first... More

Spent three nights here on a birding tour and wished it had been more. Lovely, peaceful place in the mountains, with a brook running through it, gardens, a friendly, professional staff, and plenty of birds. Our guide, Danilo, was great at bird-finding and identification. My "single" room had a double bed and was certainly large enough for two. Family-style meals... More

You have created a wonderful place and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Your staff, guides and drivers were all excellent and they love what they do and it shows. It is obvious you have a gift for what you do and love it – always a good combination. Our room was wonderful, great food and our birding... More
