We stayed early May, 2013 for 7 nights for our Honeymoon. We are people who genuinely enjoy the outdoors and really appreciated the secluded location. The meals were decadent, fresh seafood daily and by fresh we mean caught mere hours prior to being placed on the table. The Chef deserves special recognition, every meal was superb! The staff at the... More

This has to have been the worst place i have stayed for many a year, the staff were good, and the food ok, but it was dirty run down and disorganised . we were going to stay for a week but checked out early . the bungalow, was shabby at best, the air con and safe were broken, the decking... More

We thought the Coral Lodge was one of the most special places we have ever visited. We were super worried after reading some really terrible reviews here on Trip Advisor but apparently a new owner came in just in time. We stayed in bungalow #4 from March 25-27 and some of what we read was true...it was run down but... More

Absolutely loved it. Over the water bungalows, the Caribbean breeze going through the cabinas. The sounds of the ocean under us. We stayed for 4 nights (it is expensive) but everything has to be brought in by boat. It is very remote and getting there is an adventure but it was definitely worth it. Meals are simple but very elegantly... More

Initial impression: wow! We, too, arrived only three days after Coral Lodge changed hands. We had booked well in advance and had not read any of the end of 2012 negative reviews. So we were expecting beauty and service and we got it. They called at our hotel in Panama City and told us that because the seas were unusually... More

We went for a long weekend to Panama, and we were glad to have chosen Coral Lodge! Yes, one could tell that the former owner had left the up-keep down, but the warm welcome by Nadia, the manager, and her crew made up for all of it! Nadia was always available for all our needs and wishes. We had a... More

With good service, excellent location and a staff that will go out of their way to make your stay everything you've dreamed of this was the perfect destination for our honeymoon. There's lot of activities from snorkeling, kayaking to fishing to combine with just relaxing in the sun by the bungalow or on the beach. You feel very close to... More

My wife and daughter (26 years old) just returned from Coral Lodge. Initially we were concerned about what we read from previous reviewers. However, we loved our experience and had a wonderful and first class adventure. First - the problems reported by other reviewers have a source. It seems the sale of the resort just recently closed. The new owners... More

We made our reservations several months ago, planning 4 days at Coral Lodge following 5 days visiting friends on the Pacific side and Panama City… we expected a unique, remote, eco-friendly, upscale resort carved out of the Atlantic Panama coast, near the San Blas Islands. As the date approached, however – we saw scary reviews on this website, and were... More

Coral Lodge was the biggest splurge and the saddest disappointment in a history of visiting 55 countries over many years. We were lured here by the overwater casitas and the proximity to the stunning San Blas Islands. Paying $2300. US for a 3 day stay which included meals but only 1 non-alcoholic beverage per meal, 2 day long transfers each... More
