This is a nice property, climbing on the hill about 500 mt from the beach (but you can still hear the waves breaking!). We stayed in a large well equipped room, with a nice balcony. There's a beautiful pool. On the negative, they don't serve breakfast, so you have to go outside for this.

It offers a basic accomodation but comparing to the other options in Santa Teresa it seemed to be the best. Good choice with very good price. Confortable pool and ok room with basic needs (AC, hot water in the shower, mini bar and very well clean). Beautiful place. I was in the simple rooms in the first floor and it... More

We stayed at Esencia for almost two weeks and were very satisfied. The staff was helpful and nice and the villa was clean and comfortable. The kitchen equipment was absolutely minimum, so don't plan to cook any fancy dinner. The best houses are number 5,6,7. Close to the pool and not disturbed from the road.

For the money, this is a great option. In the quieter seasons they have a stay for 3 nights, get the 4th night free offer, which makes the price very competitive. The villas are clean, cool, have nice bathrooms, good water pressure (all too rare here!) and the staff is attentive. Kitchens are key, and although the kitchens here are... More

We stayed in one of the villas for 8 nights during a friend's wedding. The villas aren't what I would call great, but everything was decent. Honestly the best thing about it was the Air Conditioning unit in our room... Nothing like coming back from somewhere all hot & sweaty into a refreshing & frigid villa! Neither of us slept... More

The hotel is average, the rooms are old and not fancy at all! I expected more for what they offered. The pool is normal. Service is good. The beach is not close and you need transport to get there. A disco is in front and is noisy at night. It is expensive for what it is.

it is weird you stayed with us in october because the hotel is actually closed, from sept.16th until the end of october... No guests coming from Quito neither all Peru during the last 4 months... Need a transportation to get to the beach? the hotel is 150 meters (0.10 miles) far from the beach... More

My friend and i spent one night at the esencia hotel as walk in guests. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and beautiful. It is a great location and very close to the beach. The bed was huge and comfortable, the a/c was working just fine and silently. The Bathroom was nice and clean, as... More

Having family scattered around the U.S., we decided to book 7 rooms for the post-Christmas to New Year's holiday for a family reunion. We filled out the necessary paperwork, secured the rooms with credit card "deposits." Then, at the last moment, we got an email from the manager saying the management decided to cancel ALL our room reservations and was... More

I booked this hotel through their online reservation service 2 weeks prior to the date I was intended to arrive. I did not get an email confirmation, so I called the hotel to confirm. They told me that they were having problems with the system and that I should call again the next day. Then when I called again the... More

It is a nice place poorly managed, we did not have a good stay thanks to their lack of customer service. First thing that went wrong is we didnt get what we paid for, we paid for a Villa and we got a Room way in the back of the property on a hill and then on a second floor,... More

Dear Daniel, we have nothing to say except we are very sorry about that, you are absolutely right in everything you wrote. You reserved a villa and we made a mistake, so when we figured out it was too late the only thing we could do was to accommodate you in the only type of room still available (a Pool... More
