Love love love Raratonga, stayed two years in a row. Very quiet, clean, safe, and beautiful. The owner Alessia is a sweetheart who will go to any length to help you out with anything you need throughout your stay. I have nothing bad to say, only good!

We stayed at the Hotel Raratonga for the first three of nine nights in Playa Santa Teresa. If there had been room, we would have stayed the whole time. It was the perfect place for our family of four (kids 10 & 14). The apartment was roomy, clean, safe, and had all of the amenities we needed, including a kitchen.... More

We’re very satisfied with our stay at Raratonga in Santa Teresa. The hotel is very cozy, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is super service minded and helped us out booking transfers, suggesting restaurants and beeing generally very helpful. The beach is only a short walk away, close to the surf spot. We rented a scooter which... More

My husband and I stumbled on the Roratonga while visiting Costa Rica for the first time together. It was such a nice step up from the places we had been staying, trying to save a buck, and gave us the price of a hostel with the luxury of a private room. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was helpful,... More

My fiancee and I just spent a week at Raratonga on our first real vacation together. And we could not have been HAPPIER with the entire experience. From Alessia's welcome upon our rather late in the evening arrival, to the comfortable, charming, and unique accommodations- everything was perfect (even the rates!!) We truly felt like we were welcomed into the... More

Awsome, would definitaly recommend Hotel Raratonga!!! Came down for a surf vacation for 2 weeks and originally just booked the first week ( in case we didn't like the hotel or found a better place) but ended up staying here for the whole time. Good location-a quick walk to the beach, grocery store, and resturaunts, but on the outskirts of town... More

This hotel, while appearing to have nice rooms in the photos, is a dump. The walls are paper thin and you can literally see through the cracks so not only can you hear your neighbors, you can watch them as well. Furthermore, the hotel is surrounded by rooster farms, the inhabitants of which begin "roosting" when the sun goes down... More

I wish I did not reserve three nights stay at this hotel. The photos do reflect what the hotel looks like, but what they don't share in the photos is all the noises around this hotel. I believe every rooster in Santa Teresa lives outside of this hotel. Now a rooster off in the distance heard now and again is... More

We are sorry if those people didn´t have a good time, but there are some things we would like to say in our defense. As for the roosters,we are sorry but this is Costa Rica and Santa Teresa, and as stated also from some people who wrote another review here, there are roosters and chickens all over the places. This is part of the...
