The location is by far the best. It is one of the few hotels with direct access to the beach. We stayed in one of the beachfront rooms, and it was spectacular. The beach is less than 30m away and the view from the balcony is really really nice. This part of the hotel is called "The Beach House", and... More

After having a postcard stuck on my "vision board" for years and years, I finally made it a priority to travel all the way to Malpais, Costa Rica to experience a surf camp AND Costa Rica for the very first time. I felt the need for an active vacation to escape the winter blahs and get a healthy kick in... More

I've had the pleasure of staying at Tropico Latino twice. Beautiful beachfront resort with large private bungalows. Wifi access improved dramatically from my first stay last year. The staff is more like family - very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food is fresh with both local and international cuisine. The spa has a wide variety of services with talented providers.... Great location on the beach off the roughest and dustiest road I have ever driven on.Walking on the road is as difficult as driving. The hotel management needs to get a grip on the operation.....or perhaps they do not care about the clients and are happy to let them feel short changed. Our beach front villa was not as described,we... More

Tropico Latino is just what you'd imagine a Costa Rican beach hotel to be - it's all beautiful wooden cabins built right into the jungle, making each room feel like a private, exotic retreat. The staff here is very kind and helpful, the restaurant food is fresh and delicious and it's all within view of a beach that's about as... More

We tried to stay here in august 2014 and it was sold out. This time we got a room. Perfect bungalows with good amount of space and great porch with hammock, table and chairs. Great location right on the beach. Super bartenders and parking attendants! Evelyn at reception desk was very helpful. Yoga lessons right on site. Great seating on... More

Great and spacious rooms, friendly staff, amazing ocean views in a walking distance (20-30 steps) and the best food! Nice surprise in the middle of a great beach in Costa Rica. This is a hidden gem and I was extremely impressed by the restaurant and the service. Great experience overall.

Super nice waiters, they are all very kind and attentive! Perfect little beach, where you can observe surfers. Nice spa treatments and Yoga lessons right at the beach as well! Amazing spot right on the beach, with the coolest pathways and hammock area to lounge in - we call that area our happy hour spot. I've been here 3x now and never get tired of this spot. Incredible massages as well. We rent a car so we can explore the area around but you can walk to most places via... More

The rooms were spacious and very nice. It is in a good location with great beach access. The staff were VERY helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this hotel in Santa Teresa! The service in the restaurant was a little slow and the food was OK, but the rest of the accommodations were great.
