This was our second stay at Hotel Tropico Latino. We were on a surf and yoga camp with 12 other guests. We stayed in the same bungalow we stayed in last year. Spacious with soaring ceilings and an adequate AC unit. The shower had very little power and occasionally no hot water, but this is part of the charm of... More

We did not have a reservation for the hotel but were able to get 2 rooms for one night at the last minute. My mother had a very lovely little cottage in the woods that was very well appointed. There was a hammock swinging on the front porch which was relaxing. My husband and I had a room overlooking the... More

The rooms were pretty without pretense, clean and comfortable. The gardens are beautifully maintained, the paths to the beach and restaurant a pleasure to the eye. The staff is polite, discreet, helpful when prompted. Everybody speak perfect English. The beach is outstanding, the water so warm that it allows long swims or endless surfing. It is overall a magical, happy... More

The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach, with hammocks and chairs and a pool on the sand with beach views. The bungalow was shabby and musty and not worth the price. The staff was helpful.

Beautiful place. Right on the beach. Beach front bungalow. Amazing food. Hammocks and deckchairs right on the beach with drinks service. Super chilled out. Haven't got a bad word to say about the place. Here for five days - gutted to leave and would happily come back !

Went to Costa Rica for 12 days and stayed only 3 in Sta Teresa at Tropico Latino. Wish I had stayed more. The hotel is very nice, right in front of the beach with great waves. Is very charming, small, exclusive, and the bungalows are involved by the forest with monkeys and iguanas showing up. Went with my wife and... More

This was my first trip traveling around Costa Rica and my friend booked another hotel in Santa Teresa.Only a few hours after we checked in to that hotel, our room was robbed. Not know what to do, I reached out to my massage therapist from Montverde as she mentioned she had some friends in Santa Teresa during my session. Her... More

Great place to stay for a trip to Mal Pais. Right on the beach - but also nicely maintained (and a guard in front on the street even at night.) Protected, quaint, friendly staff, great location and good clean restaurant and bar (also very convenient. Can't beat the yoga room overlooking the ocean (and sunsets) and also great spa services.... small and very charming place. excellent location directly at the beach. yes, the choices for breakfast are limited, the pool is rather small and there are not hundreds of lying chairs. but if you come to santa teresa then most likely for surfing and beachlife and for that this hotel is perfect.

Perfect place to relax, nice location with plenty of things to do around the area, surfing, horse riding, hiking, and island tour. The only problem was the restaurant too good and expensive to eat every day.
