We came to this hotel for a friend's recommendation. I don't know if the hotel changed administration and chef, because my perception is very different from some comments here... What we liked: the service and the friendly staff. The location. One part of the restaurant is right at a stunning beach. What could be better? : the maintenance. Our bathroom... More

Great rooms with AC and your own little patio! Restaurant is great too! Amazing food, cocktails and the restaurant staff is top notch! The only reason that this place didn't get 5 stars with me is because the beach right out front is full of rocks, no white sand unless you walk at least a mile to the right. Not... More

Tropico Latino offers a beach front location with a safe environment. Evelyn at the front desk was an immeasurable help with local information and in arranging activities(the ATV to Montezuma waterfalls was a great experience!!!) Our suite had us waking up to the surf on their restricted beach with just a short walk to a great restaurant.

We stayed in Cabin #8, which hotel staff admits is the best one! The porch faces the ocean and gives one an incredible view of the waves. The cabin was basic, but tropical, well maintained and clean. Great vanity and shower. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the monkeys and saw wild horses on the beach twice during our... More

The hotel is one of the few ideally located on the beachfront there. However it apparently lacks maintenance. Some rooms are huge and comfy all wood decorated but the outdated bathroom was disappointing with all the plumbery falling apart and no hot water in ours ! Too bad our A/C was so noisy we couldn't sleep to the sound of... More

From the moment we walked into the front gate, we knew we would love this place! The landscaping is gorgeous and well kept. We had a beach front suite and we loved spending time on our little front porch, although it could have used a ceiling fan. It was so fantastic being right there on one of the most beautiful... More

The hotel is in a great location - on a great part of the beach and close to great eats. The staff are absolutely outstanding - warm and helpful. The yoga space is open, earthy and amazing. The hotel grounds are very earthy and lovely. The rooms are very basic and the beds not especially comfortable. Unfortunately the restaurant is not... More

I visited this property during my trip for a yoga class. The property is so clean and amazing. The yoga studio is ocean front and the instructor was awesome. It is definitely worth a visit even if you stay someplace else.

The beach house worked out great for the 12 in our group. We had an excellent location right on the beach, our own pool, great services in the hotel next door, and great staff support all around. The only real glitches in our trip were the rain (a gutter broke during a torrential rain and almost flooded the upstairs until... More
